During Gamescom’s Opening Night Live event, fans were treated to a new trailer for the interactive thriller,Twelve Minutes. The trailer served to introduce fans to the game’s all-star cast that features some huge names, as well as confirm a new console the game is coming to.

Twelve Minutesis about a man who is stuck in a time loop and mixes elements of different movies likeThe ShiningandMementoto create an interactive thriller. The game got its first bit of hype after the game showed off a confusing but intriguing trailer duringXbox’s conference at E3 in 2019. At that show,Twelve Minuteswon the award for Best Indie Game from the Game Critics Awards. However, since the game’s big public showcase, the project has been rather quiet with a few updates here and there.

In a new trailer forTwelve Minutes, it was revealed who would be providing the voice-overs for the game’s characters. The star-studded cast features James McAvoy(Dark Phoenix,IT: Chapter 2) playing “the man” andDaisy Ridley who is most popularly known for her role as Reyfrom theStar Warssequel trilogy who is playing “the woman.” Joining these two is the four-time Academy Award nominee Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man,The Lighthouse) who will be playing the role of “the intruder.”

The end of the trailer also gives fans an update on the game’s next-generation release as it is now confirmed thatTwelve Minuteswill be coming to the Xbox Series X. The game is still scheduled for the Xbox One and PC as well. Unfortunately, this new trailer didn’t offer fans an update on the game’s release date other than the words “coming soon,” but the Steam page forTwelve Minutesis still listing the game to be available in 2020.

Along with this exciting update for12 Minutes, Gamescom Opening Night Live brought tons of updates and other reveals to bring an end to a long summer of video game shows.Twelve Minutesalso wasn’t the only game to appear at Opening Night Light that featured a character played by Daisy Ridley. Fans got their first look at gameplay fromLego Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagawhich is due out this year.Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagawill let players play through each movie in theStar Warsseries, includingThe Last JediandRise of Skywalkermovies for the first time.

Twelve Minutesis scheduled to release in 2020 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
