Baldur’s Gate 3has released Hotfix 15 for the game, fixing a ton of issues with the critically-acclaimed RPG. Just six days ago,Baldur’s Gate 3released Hotfix 14, so it hasn’t taken long for Larian Studios to push out another host of fixes.
Since its release in August of this year,Baldur’s Gate 3has cemented itself as arguably one of the best RPGs of all time, with Larian Studios' attention to detail creating an experience like no other. However, in a game of this scale, there are bound to be plenty of bugs that slip through the net. Luckily, Larian has been consistent in ensuring that as fast as they are being discovered, they’re being fixed.Baldur’s Gate 3has already seen plenty of critical acclaim, and it would’ve been easy for the studio to walk away. However, Larian Studios is clearly committed to makingBaldur’s Gate 3as close to perfect as it can possibly be, which is great news for those still invested in the game.
Larian Studios has detailed everything that Hotfix 15 has to offer. Among the changes are a ton of crash fixes, as well as a fix to the bug dubbed “Pinocchio” by the studio, as it caused player’s noses to become stretched during cinematics. The update has some great news for Japanese players, too. Hotfix 15 makesBaldur’s Gate 3playable in Japanese language on PC and PS5, although this is currently in Japan only. On top of this is a host of miscellaneous fixes and performance boosts. While Hotfix 15 won’t fix every problem the game suffers from, it’s still a solid update.
Baldur’s Gate 3released its huge Patch 5just three weeks ago, but that hasn’t stopped Larian Studios from continuing to improve the game on a weekly basis via a series of hotfixes. While these smaller updates are great, the wait goes on for the more sizable Patch 6. Larian has yet to state what a potential Patch 6 will entail.
With the continued support from Larian Studios, the hype forBaldur’s Gate 3looks set to continue well into 2024. Even theBaldur’s Gate 3actors are still streaming the game, with stars such as Neil Newbon and Devora Wilde retaining a dedicated audience and giving gamers a glimpse into their own playthroughs. The game has a unique quality that keeps players coming back for more, and hopefully, that’s exactly what gamers will get in 2024 in the form of DLC. While Larian Studios hasn’t officially announced DLC forBaldur’s Gate 3yet, fans are hoping for some kind of expansion to come eventually.
