All across the internet, gamers have been quick to say that the game is doomed. Always outspoken, the director replied to some of these baseless claims by calling those that were spreading them “idiots.” He then proceeded to explain his frustration in some follow-up Tweets.
According to Kamiya, his specific issue is with “reckless remarks” about development stopping or the game being “delayed” indefinitely. He calls these baseless accusations “annoying” and a “waste” as well. While Kamiya is understandably frustrated with these comments, it is easy to understand why fans are concerned about the game. It was announced four years ago, and despite several comments that development is going well, nothing has been seen. With many hoping that2021 would beBayonetta 3’s year, the lack of footage is devastating.
At the same time, Kamiya is correct about how bad it can be to spread misinformation. While it is fine to be concerned, saying that the game has been canceled without any remarks from Platinum Games or Nintendo is a major issue, as many could start to believe something about the game that is not true at all.
