Following his debut at theAEWpay-per-view All Out in September, Adam Cole has begun to reappear on The Elite’s YouTube show. The latest episode of “Being The Elite” continues to tease a potential feud between Cole and Kenny Omega following Omega’s return to the ring.
Omega’s leave of absence comes after he lost theAEWWorld Championship to “Hangman” Adam Page atthe Full Gear event last month. After the loss, Omega remained the AAA Mega Champion but vacated the championship due to a number of injuries he had been working through for months.

Due to Omega’s absence, it’s expected that someone else may take up the mantle of advertising things like theGeneral Managergame. However, the fact that it is Cole who does it in this clip adds to pre-existing tension between Omega and Cole. Following his loss to Page at Full Gear, Omega announced that he would be taking time away from the ring to figure things out. He asked for his friends to hold down the fort while he was gone, and Cole responded by saying, “Cleaner, I got this.” Omega responded by saying that he was referring to Matt and Nick Jackson, not Cole.
Prior to Cole’s debut in AEW, he used to be a regular star on “Being The Elite.” After signing with WWE, they were forced to kill him off of the channel, using Omega’s envy of Cole as a motive for him and theYoung Bucks to poison Cole. They then used a seance to bring him back to the channel, allowing him to once again appear on a weekly basis. This feud between Omega and Cole seems inevitable as they battle for leadership over The Elite and the allegiance of the Young Bucks.
The potential feud between Omega and Cole wouldn’t be the first time “Being The Elite” played a role in AEW storytelling. The “killing” of Cole on the YouTube channel was linked to Cole’s debut at All Out in September. Cole has also been terrorized by The Dark Order’s John Silver and Alex Reynolds on the channel for weeks, where they began to refer to him as “Budge.” This became cannon on television, leading to manybattles between The Dark Order and The Elitein preparation for the match between Omega and Page. With Omega not being expected to return to the ring until at least February, there will likely be plenty more hints toward the feud before Omega is seen on AEW programming again.
