Players should be sure to drop by Mars, not only due to their real-world fascination with the planet, but because, withinStarfieldlore, this is one of the planets where players will find the largest group of humans in the entire game.

Not only is the red planet fun to explore, but there is ample opportunity for players to bag some resources here, such as Water, Chlorine, and Chlorosilanes. If those resources are all too common, then taking a deeper look will reward players with The Heart of Mars, which can be sold for 20,000 credits.

9Earth

Speaking of real-world fascination,Starfieldplayers will surely want to find out what happened to their own planet within the history of the game. According toStarfield’s lore, Earth became uninhabitable at some point in the past, and so, humanity could no longer survive within its confines, forcing residents of Earth to find new homes within the stars.

While there isn’t much going on and there aren’t a great deal of resources available on this planet, Earth is worth a visit for players who wish to see some famous landmarks that are certainly in a worse state than they are in real life.

8Volii Epsilon

Found in the Volii system, Volii Epsilon will not give a particularly warm welcome to players with its cold temperatures and lack of flora. However, to make up for this, Volii Epsilon has a plethora of valuable resources for players to add to their stores, such as Copper, Chlorine, Water, Lead, Chlorisanes, and Ionic Liquids.

Due to this diverse range of resources, players should consider building an outpost here for easier access in the future, particularly if base-building is something that they may be interested in pursuing.

7Gagarin

Named after Yuri Gagarin, the soviet cosmonaut who was the first human to make it to outer space, orbiting the Earth in 1961, this planet is definitely worth traveling to. This planet has a similar gravity to Earth, and the weather is not too hostile, meaning players won’t need to worry about eating the right foods or their spacesuit failing to protect them from the elements.

Gagarin has its own outpost and mining hub for players to explore, which hosts a variety of vendors and services, including the Yankton Law Offices andShip Technician Services.

6Andraphon

Found in the Nation system, Andraphon is an excellent planet for players to visit early on in their playthrough and is worth returning to throughout their time with the game. Particularly at the start of the game, Andraphon plays host to many of the resources that players will need to be able to progress, such as Iron, Helium-3, Beryllium, andAluminum.

There isn’t much else happening on this planet, however, so once players have collected the resources available here or built an outpost for easy access to them, they are free to move on to the next part of their adventure.

5Leviathan IV

Once players hit the mid-game ofStarfield, they should consider visiting Leviathan IV. Within the beautiful Leviathan system, Leviathan IV offers players the opportunity to get their hands on a haul of exotic resources like Ytterbium, which can bevery useful at the weapons workbench.

The alien life can be a challenge to deal with on this planet, so it is not advised to travel here until players have reached level 55 or above. If players do manage to take down the alien life lurking here, though, they’ll be sure to get some great mid-game weapon andspacesuit upgradesas payment for their troubles.

4Nesoi

For players on the hunt for resources, Nesoi is a great place to land and explore, as the planet is home to resources like benzene, iridium, and uranium, too.

In addition to being a great planet for resources, Nesoi is also ideally located in the Olympus system, meaning that it is situated between a lot of the different systems that players will be traveling between throughout the main quest. For this reason, Nesoi would be another great planet to set up an outpost on, as it will be easy for players to stop by without going too far out of their way.

3Celebrai II

As well as being home to some great resources for eager players to nab, Celebrai II in the Celebrai system has a mixture of peaceful and territorial creatures to discover. Not only does this make Celebrai II a great option for upgrading the player’s Science skill if they are trying to scan as many critters as possible, but there is also ample opportunity to level up should they decide to do some hunting on this planet.

Another positive for any arachnophobic spacefarers - there are no spider-like creatures on Celebrai II, meaning players can farm kills to their heart’s desire without too much fear.

Players may wish to equip a sniper rifle to take on the creatures inhabiting this planet from a distance while still bagging that all-important XP, but those who have gone with a melee build or focused on close-quarters combat should be careful not to get completely swarmed by enemies, which can happen quite easily.

1Procyon III

For players searching for some rare resources and looking to put down an outpost to take advantage of such, they should look no further than Procyon III. This planet not only contains Water, Copper, Fluorine, and Argon, but it also features some great rare resources in the form of Tetrafluorides and Neon.

Something for players to be aware of when trying to find this planet and make it their new home away from home is that there are actually two Procyon systems, Procyon A and Procyon B. This particular planet can be found in Procyon A.
