Courtesy of Hi-Rez Studios, players of Rogue Company get to use these Rogues in high-octane matches to prove their superiority amongst each other. Akin to other hero shooters, Rogues in Rogue Company boast a wide variety of toolkits and playstyles. And with 22 current Rogues available in their roster, beginners in the game might have a difficult time choosing the right Rogue to start their training with. There are some Rogues who are naturally easier to use compared to their contemporaries, and this article has been expanded to include a few more of thebest characters for new Rogue Company players​​​​​​.

Rogue Company Mack

15Mack

Who better to defend the team than atank that’s built for solid defense? Thanks to Mack, any team can secure almost any objective.And for beginners, Mack’s toolkit lets them play it safe even against the toughest of incursions.

As aDefender, Mack’s abilities are built for survival. His Lightbomb (Ability) serves as a nifty flashbang – perfect to turn any firefight to the team’s favor. His Standard Issue (Passive) immediately gives him 25 Armor on startup, which gets replenished instantly whenever he downs foes.

Rogue Company Trench

Thanks to his other Perks, Mack becomes a pretty solid tank. Downing enemies allows Mack to replenish his used gadgets (Resupply). He also removes the speed penalty from ADS (Stalker), takes less melee damage (Toughen Up), and can reload while sprinting (Berserker).

14Trench (Defender)

Despite his rather meek exterior, Trench keeps his cool and boasts a dependable personality. Hired to serve as the team’s moral compass,Trench is a Defender Rogue that focuses on securing objectives no matter what.

For beginners, Trench’s abilities serve as the perfect middle ground to test new mechanics or play as a straightforward tank. Due to the Barbed Wire Grenade (Ability), Trench can slow down enemies in an AOE and pave way to more complex follow-up strategies. He also boasts Gadget Up (Passive) that lets him carry another gadget.

Rogue Company Switchblade

Befitting his leadership role are Perks that emphasize support playstyles. Trench can revive teammates faster (Helping Hand), reduce melee damage (Toughen Up), get more armor (Headstrong), and reveal enemies he hits (Tracker Rounds).

13Switchblade (Breacher)

No one knows why Switchblade has been on the run – just that everyone who gets close to her almost always ends up in trouble. As aBreacher,Switchblade specializes in breaking through defenses and helping allies finish off enemy forces. For beginners, this means Switchblade boasts mean durability, giving them room to experiment with the game’s mechanics.

Switchblade touts the Chaos Launcher (Active), letting her fire a Napalm Warhead that releases a cluster of napalm that deals damage over time in an area. This effectively becomes an area denial tool – perfect to seal escape points or block passages.

Rogue Company Seeker

Meanwhile, her Fight and Flight (Passive) gives Switchblade a speed boost whenever using gadgets and abilities. She also becomes a mean tank with Perks to help with melee damage reduction (Toughen Up), reduced explosive damage (Tenacity), and life gain when downing enemies (Life Drain).

12Seeker (Intel)

Despite his age, Seeker is one of the best archers in the world. Training under Kestrel, she honed Seeker’s young mind to always aim true – and that he did. As anIntel Rogue, Seeker specializes in detecting enemy movements and countering them before they strike.

For beginners, Seeker is a great choice for practicing reconnaissance and other intelligence-gathering skills. His Arrow Scanner (Ability) reveals enemies present along its flight path, whereas Ricochet (Passive) helps projectiles deal more damage whenever they bounce off surfaces.

Rogue Company Kestrel

Being an Intel Rogue, Seeker can do reconnaissance much faster and more safely than other Rogues. He boasts faster speeds when in combat (Evade), removes speed penalties during ADS (Stalker), and revives allies much faster (Lifeline).

11Kestrel (Duelist)

In the lore, Kestrel served as one of Rogue Company’s founding members. However, she retired and redirected her investments towards business, becoming one of the richest women to ever live. In her spare time, Kestrel touts her Halo Drones as she bombards fiery hell to wherever she lays her eyes on. For beginners, Kestrel’s straightforward approach is a perfect introduction to the game’s mechanics.

Being aDuelist, Kestrel specializes in fast and loose engagements. Alongside her Halo Drones is her Legend’s Contract (Passive), giving her more cash whenever she downs her target. What perhaps makes her deadlier is her role as a partial support unit, thanks to faster revives (Helping Hand), removing ADS speed penalties (Stalker), and silenced footsteps (Padded Steps).

10Vy (Defender)

Vy secures a location not by protecting it, but bydiscouraging everyone to get near it. Given herDefender Role, Vy uses Vile Poison (Active) to create a poisonous pool that reduces the maximum health of enemies who enter it. Likewise, Leeching Poison (Passive) gives Vy up to 25 Health whenever someone triggers her Active. Beginners who want to manipulate the battlefield to their favor will appreciate Vy.

Moreover, her arsenal further encourages a more offensive approach to her poison pools. Her Nightshade (Assault Rifle) boasts the highest fire rate, while her S12 Tactical (Shotgun) packs a punch at a further range. Even her Perks capitalize on her aggressive potential, as she can detect opponents she shoots (Tracker Rounds), avoid detection (Cloaked), and get a speed boost when hit (Evade).

9Dima (Breacher)

Dima shows the value of grenades in any FPS. As aBreacher, Dima relies on rather straightforward cluster grenades via the MIRV Launcher (Active). However, anyone hit by Dima’s explosives is revealed for a short time via his Burned (Passive). Beginners whowant to wreak havoc with explosiveswill love Dima.

In terms of weapons, Dima pairs his destructive appeal in mid-range with the high-powered Mamba (DMR) or the high fire rate of the KA30 (Assault Rifle). Moreover, his Perks also encourage straightforward aggression as he can reload while sprinting (Berserker), switch weapons faster (Nimble Hands), or heal after downing an enemy (Life Drain).

8Talon (Intel)

Talon likes to know where his enemies are, even when he’s on the move. As anIntel, Talon has a Radar Dart (Ability) that detects nearby enemies after latching on a destination. He can quickly retrieve the Dart and other items from afar with his Mag Gloves (Passive). As a result,beginners who want to keep an eye on two placesat once will want to try Talon.

His weapons alone give Talon multiple offensive options. He can pepper enemies up close with the fire rate of the LMP-X (SMG), or from afar with the high-powered D3D-i (DMR). Moreover, his Perks ensure enemies wouldn’t know who hit them as he can silence his walking (Padded Steps), switch weapons faster (Nimble Hands), and help his team detect anyone he shoots (Tracker Rounds).

7Gl1tch (Breacher)

Gl1tch is what happens to people who take their gadgets for granted. As aBreacher, Gl1tch penetrates through enemy defenses as Intuition (Passive) detects nearby enemy equipment while Hack (Active) detects nearby enemies and disables their gadgets. Gl1tch suits beginners who want to mess with enemies from afar.

Despite his destructive potential, Gl1tch still works best with defensive or recon gameplay. His SKL-6 (Shotgun) cantake out enemies who compromise his position, while the LMP-X (SMG) has enough firepower to eliminate nearby opponents. Likewise, his Perks encourage a stealth component by silencing his walking (Padded Speed), reducing his exposure to revealing Abilities (Cloaked), and track enemies he shoots (Tracker Rounds).

6Anvil (Defender)

Anvil makes up for his large frame with his defensive potential. Befitting theDefender Role, Anvil’s toolkit provides decent damage mitigation abilities thatmaximize his team’s defense. Thanks to Barricade (Active), Anvil can deploy a barricade to extend cover or secure objectives. Likewise, his Immunity (Passive) makes him immune to blinding and disorientation.

Anvil players can alternate between close-range aggression with Arbitrator (Shotgun) or long-range defense with the MLX Maw (LMG). With the right Perks, Anvil can carry more ammo (Shredder Rounds), reload while sprinting (Berserker), or get buffed with 25 Armor (Headstrong).
