The Guuji of Narukami Shrine inGenshin Impactis a descendant of the Kitsune lineage, which explains her fox ears and tails. Other than being a chief priest, Yae also runs a publishing house.Yae Miko’s build inGenshin Impactis straightforward as she does what most off-field Electro users do. However, it may get confusing whether to build her more towards EM or ATK, since both stats show solid numbers in her gameplay.
BuildingElectro units inGenshin Impactisn’t easy because most of their Elemental Reactions notably deal less damage than other offensive Elements. For an Electro DPS to perform well, it’s important to build them with correct stats that can boost their raw and reaction damage.
Updated on June 15, 2025, by Nahda Nabiilah:With Dendro reactions saving the Electro Vision in Genshin Impact, many Electro users started performing way better than they used to. However, characters like Yae Miko were outperformed by simple units like Fischl and Kuki Shinobu. But, even with her long on-field time, Yae can still shine in many situations when she’s wielding the right weapon and artifact set that can take her damage to the next level. For that, it’s necessary to update this article to include the correct ways tobuild Yae Miko in Genshin Impact.

For such team comps, you can go full EM/EM/EM with4pc Flower of ParadiseLostto maximize her Hyperbloom and Electro-Charged Reactions or build her with EM/Electro/Crit and4pc Gilded Dreamsto balance all of her damage at once. Keep in mind, thatboth Gilded and Flower sets are only viable when Yae is a part of aDendro reactions teaminGenshin Impact.
Generally speaking,a mix of +15% Electro DMG and +18% ATKis a great option for Yae Miko’s Electro DMG. You can also mix things up with more+18% ATK or +80 EMif the other two-piece set isn’t available. Theoretically,4pc Thundersootheris also a decent choice of artifacts for Yae Miko, assuming the enemies she hits always have an Electro aura. This set is unreliable due to its condition, but you can still use the Thundersoother set if Yae Miko is included in mono-Electro or Electro-Charged teams.
Finally, you can also opt for highly situational sets like Emblem or Tenacity.4pc Tenacity of the Millelithis amazing if you’re willing to lose a portion of Yae’s personal damage in exchange for a large and stable buff for the team, while4pc Emblem of Severed Fateis great if you can set up the field where the Kitsune is heavily buffed before unleashing her Elemental Burst. Of course, it’s also important to ensure the enemies are grouped together so that her thunderbolt can hit multiple enemies at once, which willexceed the DPS provided by her Elemental Skill.

Yae Miko’s Talent Overview
Yae Miko has one of the lowest Normal Attack multipliers among theCatalyst users inGenshin Impact, so using her as a Main DPS would be far from optimal. She’s best used as an off-field Sub-DPS.
Elemental Skill
When you use Yae Miko’s Elemental Skill, she will move in the designated direction, leaving a Sesshou Sakura behind. This fox turret will periodically deal damage to one enemy in the area. She can have up to three charges saved, and a maximum of three Sesshou Sakura can be deployed on the field.
The turrets have up to four levels, but at zero Constellation, the highest grade you may get is level three. To increase the strength, you simply have to use the skill when a turret exists nearby. This will link the foxes together, increasing their level simultaneously.
Sesshou Sakuras of different levels can exist at the same time. This can happen if you cast the skill too far from the existing turret.
Elemental Burst
Yae Miko’sElemental Burst is very straightforward. She summons a lightning bolt from the sky, dealing massive Electro damage. If her fox turret exists on the field, they will blow up and deal an even higher amount of Electro damage. For every Sesshou Sakura destroyed, Yae Miko will gain one charge of Elemental Skill, which allows her to recast her Skills all over again. Yae Miko’s Burst is not a single-target and has a small AoE, so if you can group enemies before unleashing it, you’ll significantly increase the Guuji’s DPS.
