Gearbox Software is making sure to keepBorderlands 3players occupied with a steady stream of new content. With theRevenge of the Cartels eventabout to end, The Borderlands Show, which previews upcoming content, has released a new episode that provides audiences with a look at what’s coming. The game’s next campaign DLC will arrive at the end of June, but before that is another content update called Takedown at the Guardian Breach.
Due to current events, The Borderlands Show had its first at-home episode on May 21, where the hosts discussed all of the new content coming to the game after the current event concludes. Takedown at the Guardian Breach is a free update that will be available to everyone on June 4, described as, “another endgame gauntlet that’ll put your skills and gear to the ultimate test.” During the show, there was a bit more elaboration on what players can expect, but much of the finer details were left a mystery.

Takedown at the Guardian Breach will be very different from Maliwan Takedown, with new enemies and plenty of puzzles. According to the hosts, the content will attempt to further the story ofBorderlands. Tannis will be sending players to the planet of Minos Prime, a world completely shattered, forcing them to navigate the low gravity world through light platforming and jump pads. In-game footage was captured and shown during the show, so those who want to see the content in action should take a look.
Gearbox Software has done an excellent job of providing players with a plethora of activities between large content releases. Back in March, the game releasedGuns, Love, and Tentacles, the second paid DLC content. A few weeks after Takedown at the Guardian Breach, on June 25,Borderlands 3will launch its third paid campaign add-on, Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption. In it, players will be heading to the frontier planet of Gehenna to collect on a bounty for the Devilriders, a gang of beast-riding bandits. The DLC will be channeling cowboy and outlaw vibes while dishing out a ton of new content in the form of new enemies, items, and so on.
The new planet, Gehanna, will be covered in new interactable objects, such as Telezappers, which teleport players, and Traitorweed, which converts enemies to the player’s side. The Borderlands Show goes overBounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemptionin more depth, so it’s worth a gander for players curious about the upcoming content.
