Summary
Kashin Koji is a very mysterious character in theBorutoseries. As a member of Kara, he appeared to be one of the main focuses of the story in the early parts of Boruto, however, after his fight against Isshiki, he vanished. It was revealed to the fans that Kashin Koji was actually a very important personality and that he was on a very special mission.
Sadly, towards the end ofBorutoPart 1, Koji was completely missing. However, much to the surprise of the fans, he is now around once again. What’s even more surprising is the fact that he seems to have a connection withBoruto Uzumaki, the protagonist of the seriesand it might be possible that these two characters are working together right now.
Who is Kashin Koji?
Kashin Koji is, essentially, a clone ofnone other than a member of the Legendary Sannin, Jiraiya.Fans know Jiraya to be a legendary ninja from Konoha who ended up dying in the fight against Pain. Jiraiya’s death was incredibly significant in Naruto as it gave the protagonist a reason to grow stronger. Not just that but it also gave Naruto a goal to chase in life, other than becoming the Hokage. Naruto learned about peace, and its true meaning, and thus gained the dream of wanting to find true peace and break the cycle of hatred.
Essentially, Jiraiya held tremendous importance in Naruto’s life and, as a result, when he returned as Kashin Koji, it came as a surprise to the fans. Of course, these two are different characters as Koji is merely a clone created by the DNA of Jiraiya, however, these two characters are very similar when it comes to their personalities. Jiraiya was a warrior till his last breath and even though Koji was a clone and initially believed himself to be different, he found himself following the same path, as seen when he fought against the Isshiki.
Kashin Koji also believed himself to hold a special connection with Konoha and even Naruto Uzumaki. It was only a matter of time before he came into play in a big way in the story and joined the plotlines surrounding the likes of Boruto Uzumaki. From the very beginning, he was closely monitoring Boruto after he realized that he was the one who was bestowed with Momoshiki’s karma.
Kashin Koji’s Whereabouts
Kashin Koji had his own mission, even though he was a member of Kara. He was actively working to thwart Jigen in his plans. He joined forces with Amado and, together, these two characters laid down the perfect plan for the demise of this godly being. After Amado defected from the Kara baseand went to Konoha, Koji encountered Jigen all alone. At this point, Jigen was in a much weakened state and Koji believed that this would be the perfect opportunity to eliminate him in battle. The two ended up fighting and, as expected, Koji utterly dominated this fight. Even without tapping into the power of the Sage Mode, he forced Jigen to go into his true state and that was bringing forth Isshiki using Karma.
When that happened, it was only a matter of time before Koji started getting outclassed. Even though he relied on the power of the Sage Mode, it was not enough to see him reach the level that Isshiki was on. He was crushed and could very well have died, however, he clung to life like a true shinobi and ended up escaping. Since then, Koji has not been seen in Boruto at all. His whereabouts are unknown and, even right now, fans do not know exactly where he is. However, if one had to guess, the place where he’s residing currently would be Mount Myoboku, a sacred Sage Institution where both Jiraiya and Naruto have spent a significant part of their lives.
Did Boruto Train With Kashin Koji?
Much to the surprise of the fans, Kashin Koji might just have returned inBoruto Two Blue Vortex.In chapter 3 of the manga, Boruto Uzumaki fought against Code and this battle proved to be a very intriguing one. He used his new techniques to completely defeat him in combat within a matter of seconds.
Boruto showcased his superiority in terms of power and strength inBorutochapter 3 and it was quite clear to see that he had reached new levels of might. Although initially he wanted to kill the Code, he let him live simply because he wanted to be taken to the 10 Tails. However,Code managed to escape, as seen towards the end of the chapter.
While that might have been catastrophic, it was later revealed that Boruto had placed a toad on Code. Fans know the toads are a specialty of none other than caution Koji at the moment. The toad that Boruto placed on him looked very similar to the one that Koji used to spy on the Uzumaki household long ago in the story. This all but confirms that Kashin Koji has had contact with Boruto Uzumaki over the timeskip. How exactly these two met and under what circumstances remains unknown at the moment. However, given the strength that Koji possesses, it wouldn’t be a stretch to assume that these two characters ended up training together. Under the guidance of two brilliant teachers in Sasuke and Koji, Boruto Uzumaki excelled at different things and became as strong as he is today.
How Kashin Koji Will Help Boruto
It is quite clear that Kashin Koji will help Boruto in many ways. The most obvious way that he can aid the young ninja is by training him.Sasuke is a phenomenal teacherand everyone knows that. However, different teachers will excel at different things. Sasuke is more proficient and hand-to-hand combat, as well as swordplay. He can also teach Boruto all about the nature transformations.
However, under Koji, Boruto can learn an entirely new aspect of techniques, such as Sage Mode. It was recently seen that Boruto unleashed a new technique, called Rasengan Uzuhiko. This technique allowed Boruto to use the rotation of the planet and the planetary chakra and inflict it upon his enemies. This damage was permanent and it disoriented Code to the point where he couldn’t even stand after being hit by it. This is clearly a technique that he invented after spending time with Koji. Utilizing the chakra of the planet is something very similar to Senjutsu and it is quite clear to see that Boruto used these powers only after training with Koji.
At the same time, it must be remembered that Boruto is still very young and needs guidance in life. Koji can help fulfill this role, now more than ever before because Naruto is no longer around. Koji would essentially be a guardian of Boruto Uzumaki and these two characters might actually foster a great relationship. Fans can only hope that Boruto keeps on getting better and that they get to see more of the teamwork of this duo later down the line in Two Blue Vortex.
