InCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, there are few game mods that can be considered as calm and lighthearted as Prop Hunt. However, some cheaters are making theCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warparty game a lot less entertaining using an annoying exploit that essentially turns them invisible.
Prop Hunt recentlyreturned during Season 2 Reloaded, with Treyarch taking some time to expand on the mode while it was out of the rotation. New maps and props were added, and while fans were excited to see it make a comeback, the realization that a brutal glitch was still doable has killed much of the hype. Found shortly before the mode went on hiatus, it seems like Treyarch did not know that there was an issue with the game’s props.

The issue is caused by sloping a prop, which is a key mechanic in theCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Wargame mode. Essentially, the slop feature is meant to help players blend in with the environment easier. When working as intended, gamers can turn their props sideways, upside down, or upward, helping them look more realistic and giving them a better chance to blend in with their environments. However, Redditor RuggedSavior has shown that the mechanic is broken in its current state.
If players mess with the sloping feature enough, most props will allow them to get stuck under the floor. Shown in the footage, the player eventually slopes underground, moving around the enemy team as they search through themall on The Pinesmap. Nobody can see the player despite their consistent movement, as they are entirely obscured by the map’s floor. Essentially ruining the game mode, the bug will guarantee wins for the side of the props.
Unfortunately, the bug is not limited to one specificCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warmap. Regardless of whether players are a chicken on Cartel or a bench on Moscow, they can break their props by sloping enough times and in the right way. While sloping is a feature that is meant to make Prop Hunt a deeper game mode with more opportunities for hiders, RuggedSavior and other players have called for the removal of the mechanic. However, others would prefer to see sloping fixed, with Redditors such as Sjilli pointing out that it adds a lot of more quality to the mode.
WhileCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warfanscan simply choose not to use this exploit and try to play the mode normally, they cannot control their teammates or their opponents. As such, most Prop Hunt lobbies are currently packed with cheaters using this sloping exploit to its full potential.
