Microsoft may be planning to release a batch of olderCall of Dutygames on Game Pass in the near future, according to a new report. If this rumor ends up being true, it could suggest that Activision Blizzard’s extensive back catalog could come to Xbox’s subscription service sooner rather than later.Call of Dutymight just be the tip of the iceberg.

AfterXbox officially acquired Activision Blizzard Kingback in October 2023, fans of the platform have been looking forward to seeing the benefits of the acquisition bear fruit. Perhaps the number one thing most Xbox gamers were anticipating from this deal is the arrival of ABK games on Game Pass. This would be a big deal for many gamers because, prior to the acquisition, Activision games typically did not come into the service. In addition, being able to play titles like the newestCall of DutyandDiablogames on Game Pass day-one would save some people a lot of money. Unfortunately, though, Xbox has yet to fully integrate ABK’s portfolio into the Game Pass library, withDiablo 4being the only Activision Blizzard game to land on the service so far. Luckily for Xbox fans, though, that could be changing very soon.

This means thatCall of Dutycould very well be at the forefront of Xbox’s June showcase, with both an update on this year’sCoDgame and the addition of pastCoDgames on Game Pass.

Call of Duty Games That Could Come to Xbox Game Pass

Earlier this year, Microsoft confirmed that it was planning to releasemore Activision Blizzard games on Game Pass. When the time comes, it will be interesting to see how Microsoft will go about announcing these games coming to their subscription service. IfCoDgames are announced for Game Pass at the summer Xbox showcase, then perhaps they will be shadow dropped there. Microsoft is no stranger to shadow drops. After all, in the past, they released a significant portion of Bethesda’s back catalog of games onto Game Pass during an Xbox-Bethesda roundtable livestream. If something similar happens with Activision, it wouldn’t be all that surprising.

Whether Xbox fans will finally be able to play some of thebestCall of Dutygameson Game Pass only a few months from now remains to be seen. Either way, exciting times are ahead for all gamers, whether they’reCall of Dutyfans or not. Even with E3 long gone, there are still plenty of summer gaming showcases that are coming up soon.
