That’s why they’re providing evidence of ongoing issues as they’re able, including this latest post regarding sniper rifle hit registration.
The post comes from Reddit user Shyman4ever and was made inCall of Duty: Warzone’s most popular subreddit. As indicated by the post’s title, Shyman4ever believes the bullets fromCall of Duty: Warzonesniper riflesaren’t going where players are aiming. The player believes that either the game’s scopes are misaligned or there is a bigger problem with the game.

In the video, viewers can see Shyman4ever taking aim with their sniper rifle and pulling the trigger while the aiming reticle appears to be directly over the target’s head. What should be an instant elimination ends up being a complete miss, however. The only reason they believe their shot could have missed is due toCall of Duty: Warzonehaving hit registration issues.
Most of the upvoted replies to Shyman4ever’s post are in agreement with his conclusion. However, it’s not necessarily that his video is undeniable evidence, but rather that the community has been talking about sniper rifle hit registration issues for some time. Many believe it’s an issue withCall of Duty: Vanguard’s sniper rifles, introduced during theWarzone/Vanguardintegrationcoinciding with the Pacific update. Others believe it’s a problem with all ofCall of Duty: Warzone’s sniper rifles in general.
What’s frustrating is that any single clip isn’t really enough evidence to prove anything one way or another. It’s possible that players' eyes aren’t following the action correctly and the shot did barely miss, or that Shyman4ever was struggling with a moment of desynchronization due to lag. It could, of course, absolutely be evidence ofsniper rifle hit registration, too.
With so manyCall of Duty: Warzoneplayers speaking about their frustrations with the battle royale’s sniper rifles, it seems like an investigation by the development team would be appropriate. Either something is there to find or there isn’t, but a transparent line of communication on the subject would be in everyone’s best interests. For now, however,Call of Duty: Warzoneplayersare left questioning whether sniper rifles are broken and whether they’ll get fixed or not.
