How to Solve the Rock-Paper-Scissors Riddle?

Upon entering the Festivities area, players find three townsfolk that offer riddle-like hints. And when deciphered, the hints reveal how to beat the rock-paper-scissors champion. Here are the clues:

Based on these clues, players’ first move should be paper. That’s because Champ expects them to go with rock and will, therefore, choose rock as well. However, since Champ never uses paper after rock and never repeats the same sign in a row, players should choose rock for the second move – because Champ has no option but scissors. And for the final round, since Champ has to use all the signs per duel, he must choose paper, which is why players should choose scissors.

How to Play the Rock-Paper-Scissors Game?

As a part of the Festivities’ games, the rock-paper-scissors game can be played during Ser Victor’s prologue. Toward the end of the City Watch quest, players meet a new character, Victor, who asks his assistant to take him downtown, where townsfolk celebrate and gamble.

Note that chips differ fromskill points that level up characters. Players do not need them to progress, and the rock-paper-scissors game is merely a skippable side quest.
