CD Projekt Red has announced that later on today, players ofCyberpunk 2077will be able to download new content based aroundCyberpunk: Edgerunners.Cyberpunk: Edgerunnersis the Netflix anime adaptation ofCyberpunk 2077, and while both the series and the game take place within Night City, there might be some confusion around how the two will work together. This is becauseCyberpunk: Edgerunnersfocuses on a set of different characters thanCyberpunk 2077, and it has its own protagonist.

The protagonist forCyberpunk: Egderunnerswill be the new playable character in the DLC coming toCyberpunk 2077. This will mean that players will ditch their customized V for David Martinez, the protagonist of the anime. The DLC is set to be a story-focused expansion forCyberpunk 2077, focusing on Martinez in a narrative adventure taking place alongside the events of the game. This comes as part of Patch 1.6 forCyberpunk 2077, which was revealed today by CD Projekt Red.

As well as adding content related toCyberpunk: Edgerunners, the new update will also bring some more features toCyberpunk 2077. As well as the mini-game, players will also be able to access new photo mode features, and after a long period of waiting,Cyberpunk 2077fans finally can transmog their gear, meaning they can travel around Night City in style without compromising their armor stats.

There will also be a new jacket added toCyberpunk 2077, known as the “Martinez Jacket,” showing another tie in with the anime series.
