There are 14 weapons inDead Cells’Return to CastlevaniaDLC, and some players will undoubtedly be interested in giving them all a try. However, players cannot take these weapons into battle immediately upon accessing the DLC, as they must unlock them first. This guide is here to assist with that endeavor, and details on how to obtain theCastlevaniaweapons inDead Cellscan be found below.
To note, the vast majority of the weapons inDead Cells’Return to CastlevaniaDLCare earned by obtaining an associated blueprint, and the information that follows almost exclusively focuses on the sources for those items. That said, the weapons do not actually become available until the requisite number of Cells have been put toward them via the Collector. The exceptions to this are Alucard’s Shield, Maria’s Cat, and the Morning Star, which have been marked with asterisks and are obtained immediately upon fulfilling the unlock requirements that have been indicated.
How to Unlock
Alucard’s Shield*
Locate the lore room with the coffin from which Alucard emerges in the Castle’s Outskirts. Roll through the right wall and interact with the shield on the wall.
Alucard’s Sword
In Richter Mode, locate Alucard in the hidden room on the right side of Dracula’s Castle.
Dropped by Werewolf and Dire Werewolf in Castle’s Outskirts.

While the unlock requirements for theCastlevaniaweapons are quite straightforward, it is worth noting that the blueprints that are “dropped by” certain enemies are quite rare. In fact, those blueprints drop less than 2% of the time, andDead Cellsplayersthat want to earn them all should be prepared to spend a considerable amount of time in the Castle’s Outskirts and Dracula’s Castle.
One final thing to mention is that twoDead Cells Return to CastlevaniaDLC Outfitshave a small chance to drop upon dispatching certain enemies. Those are the Haunted Armor Outfit and the Hector Outfit, and they come from Armor Knights in Dracula’s Castle and the Dire Werewolves in the Castle’s Outskirts. While it is certainly not requisite that players work to obtain those cosmetics while they are farming for weapon blueprints, some fans may be interested in doing so.
