Aside from a bunch of new content, several new systems were added intoDestiny 2with the launch of Lightfall. One of thenew systems is Guardian Ranks, which is intended to show how experienced a player is with each given Season ofDestiny 2. In order to progress further through this system, players also need to get commendations from other players.
Commendations are another system that was added in with the release of Lightfall. At the end of activities, players can give out commendations to their fellow Guardians. Since these commendations are required to progress in Guardian Rank, here is how players canfarm commendations fast.

How to Farm Commendations Fast, Method One
Not long into the start of Year 6 ofDestiny 2, players quickly realized that even if an activity ends in failure they can still hand out commendations. The reason for this is because of a modifier called Extinguish. Extinguish sends the whole team back to Orbit if everyone dies. While this is clearly a failure if this happens, players can still give commendations to each other in spite of that.
So one method of farming commendations fast is to put together a group of six players and dothe Wellspring activityon Legendary mode. This version of the activity has the Extinguish modifier. So all players need to do is equip Rocket Launchers before they go into the activity. Next, they must all blow themselves up right at the start of the activity. Since the whole team will be dead at that point, the game will kick them all back to Orbit, and they will be able to hand out commendations.
It is important to know that commendations repeatedly given by the same players will give fewer points to players. That said, this is still an efficient method for farming commendations even if the points aren’t going up rapidly.
How to Farm Commendations Fast, Method Two
When it comes to farming commendations quickly, there is more than one method for doing so.Since Grandmaster Nightfallsare not available yet, players can also farm commendations by going to the Last Wish raid and deliberately failing the Petra’s Run challenge. This is the flawless version of the raid, and if even one player dies that is the end of the run and players go right to the commendation screen.
To start this version of Last Wish, players will need to go to theWall of Wishes and input the codeto activate the challenge. This does not require players to actually do the raid, so anyone can use this method to farm commendations.
In order toactivate Petra’s Run, enter the code in the image above. To enter this code, shoot the circles until the symbols match the picture. Then either have everyone blow themselves up with rockets, or jump into the water behind the Wall of Wishes.
This will end the raid, and players will be able to give each other commendations. Then go back into the raid and repeat the process for as long as players in the group want to/have time for it.
