Season 17 is now a week and a half away and Bungie continues to pull the curtain back on whatDestiny 2fans can expect to see. This week, Bungie outlined thevarious changes coming to Lord Saladin’s Iron Bannerand the fact that it is now only coming twice per season. However, Bungie is expanding the reputation system, giving players more ways to earn rank through daily challenges and wearing Iron Banner armor, while also earning more loot.

For those worried about the lack of Crucible updates over the past few years, Bungie also had some good news. Not only is Destiny 2 getting a new map for the first time in quite a while, the original Destiny game mode Rift is also arriving. The newestDestiny 2Crucible map is known as Disjunctionand takes place inside of Savathun’s Throne World. Dubbed as one of the largest maps Bungie has made, it’ll be added into the 3v3, 6v6, and free for all rotations.

Nezarec’s Sin - Warlock helmet

After a week off, the Voidwalker specific helm Nezarec’s Sin is once again available from the exotic merchant. Its intrinsic perk is known as Abyssal Extractors, a void specific ability that should make Voidwalker Warlocks very happy. Essentially, any void damage kills increase ability energy recharge rate. It remains a solid pickup for Warlocks.

For those curious, this item pairs well not only with Voidwalkers, but many strong void-centric weapons currently in the game, especially now that theVoid subclass has been reworked with the 3.0 update. Unfortunately, the roll isn’t nearly as good as it was back in April, so it’s hard to recommend coming in only at 60 total.

Graviton Forfeit - Hunter helmet

While this gear was last on sale last Fall, now might be the time to investigateGraviton Forfeit as the exotic helmet got a much needed reworkat the start of Season 15. When equipped, its exotic perk Vanishing Shadow gives increased bonus duration of invisibility effects and increases melee recharge speed, recovery, and weapon reload time while invisible. The melee recharge speed increases based on the number of enemies nearby.

However, with the upcoming overhaul to Void subclasses, this helmet may be worth picking up to see how well it synergizes with the Nightstalker Hunter abilities. Coming in at a total stat roll of 63, the roll is solid this week.

Synthoceps - Titan gauntlets

The Synthoceps feature Biotic Enhancements, the item’s intrinsic perk, which not only buffs melee range, but also damage when the player is surrounded by enemies. Similar to theHunter’s exotic gauntlets Liar’s Handshake, this item can make Titan players very powerful.

While it may not be the best Titan exotic, it’s no doubt a fun one to play around with especially in this current season. Similar to the Warlock’s Felwinter’s Helm exotic, many of the seasonal mods and Warmind Cells can result in room clearing damage when paired with this gear. Ultimately, it’s not a required purchase by any means, though it may be worth it for those who want to mess around and have a bit of fun.

Solar Enhanced. Stat Values:

Exotic Weapon

Originallyintroduced inside of the Forsaken expansion, the Cerberus+1 is an auto rifle that acts more like a shotgun. The reason for this is due to its intrinsic perk called Four-Headed Dog which causes the gun to shoot erratic bullets from all four gun barrels when fired. However, the players gains a bit more control over where these shots go thanks to its exotic trait, Spread Shot Package. Aiming the weapon reduces the projectile spread.

For most players, the Cerberus is a fun weapon to play around with, though it behaves more like a fully automatic shotgun using primary ammo. As expected, this weapon has not accurate at range, but is more than capable at shredding enemies who get too close. In the game’s current meta, this isn’t a required weapon to own, but it’s fun to mess around with, especially when clearing large groups of enemies.

Additional perks:

Since Season 16 removed the Presage and Harbinger exotic missions,Xur is also selling both Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale with randomized rolls. Players should visit him each weekend as he’ll be carrying different rolls.
