Diablo 4’s fifth season is Season Of The Infernal Legions, and players that want to engage with its content will need to create a seasonal character. While this is not a difficult thing to do, fans may find themselves confused by the process as they work through character creation. This guide is here to dispel that confusion, and it will help players make a seasonal character and get started withDiablo 4’s Infernal Legions season.
This season adds lots of near gear and activities to complete to get the various rewards. This is all done through the focus on Hellbreaches and invading Hell to go and defeat the demons on their own turf.

This season brings lots of new content for players to engage with using their seasonal characters, but not those in the Eternal Realm. This article has been updated to include information for season 5 and how to start it.
Diablo 4: How to Make a Seasonal Character
The first step toward making a seasonal character is to selectCreate a New Characteron the main menu. From there, players should select their preferredDiablo 4class, customize the appearance of their character, and selectFinalize. This action will bring players to a menu within which they can pick their desired Gameplay Settings and character name, and they should clickStart Gamewhen those fields are addressed.
Upon clicking Start Game, aHero Realm Selectionwindow will appear, and there are two options from which players can pick. Those options are Seasonal Realm and Eternal Realm, and fans shouldselectSeasonal Realmto create a character that is capable of engaging with the Infernal Legions’s new content.
To note, seasonal content is only accessible upon completion of the main campaign, though the game easily lets any player skip the main campaign to get to the new content before the season ends. To skip the campaign,simply select to skip the main campaign option found underneat the Hardcore option when creating your characterand start in the post-game with their new level 1 seasonal character.
Diablo 4: How to Start Season 5
After making a seasonal character for Season 5 and either completing or skipping the main story, players will need totravel to Zarbinzet near the southern end of the map.Just to the right of the portal will be Captain Cireska, and talking to her will officially begin Of Lands and Wolves. After Captain Cireska explains the situation, talk to Locran before needing to travel to the house to the south of town.
Before leaving, use theteleport back to town even though its a few feet away, as the game needs to register that you are progressing the quest. Follow the marker to the house in the southwestern corner past town to interact with the reinforced door and meet the main group you’ll be working with for the rest of Season 5.
