Summary

After numerous teases, Blizzard finally confirmsDiablo 4Season 3 as Season of the Construct and reveals all of the new content players can expect to see when it launches on June 30, 2025. Embracing the live service model, Blizzard is attempting to keepDiablo 4players logging in well after the main storyline comes to an end thanks to a seasonal model that introduces new stories, additional content, rewards, and even some new gameplay mechanics. For the past few months,Diablo 4players have been utilizing vampiric abilitiesin addition to the normal skills of their chosen class.

However, the past few weeks have seen plenty of teases regarding the start of Season 3, which many have thought to involve Zoltun Kulle in some capacity. One of the original founders of the Horadrim faction in Sanctuary has previously been anantagonist withinDiablo 3, who then becomes an artisan to assist the player while also providing a bit of snark as well. Thanks to a new blog post, it seems that all the theories and rumors surrounding Kulle were in fact true as Season 3 is set to again tap into the popular NPC.

In a newblog post, Blizzard has confirmed thatDiablo 4’s upcoming third season, Season of the Construct, is set to launch on Aug 05, 2025. Taking place primarily in Kehjistan, players will descend below the desert sands to take on a demon known as Malphas, who has taken over Kulle’s lab and technology to create constructs that threaten the security of Sanctuary. Players will begin their journey in a town called Gatehall, a hub that provides access to new dungeon activities called Vaults containing elemental hazards and the new Constructs. For those who want more of a challenge, Nightmare Vaults unlock in World Tier 3, offering better rewards and resources to those who are able to overcome them.

Season of the Construct Gameplay Features

In addition to Vaults,Diablo 4players will gain access to their very own construct called the Seneschal Companion. Using the Governing and Tuning Stones from the Vaults, players can augment their companion with certain builds that compliment their playstyle and will follow the player until the season comes to an end. There are 12 Governing Stones and 27 Tuning Stones to collect in all, each with their own rarity. Duplicates can be fused together to create a more powerful version, and players can find them by completing vaults, opening Wardwoven Chests, as well as defeating enemy constructs and finishing Arcane Tremors.

In addition to a new Battle Pass to work through, Blizzard is also using the new season to introduce additional quality of life updates. Full patch notes will be available later this week, but the blog post did cover a few of the bigger additions, including always activeDiablo 4Helltide Events, allowing players to not only battle Hellspawn far more frequently, but providing more opportunities to collect Aberrant Cinders. The Stash is getting expanded with an additional tab, and Blizzard has teased improvements to Skill Tree allocation, other UI improvements, and much more.
