The wait forCall of Duty: Vanguardto be officially revealed is now over, but not all fans appear to be satisfied with the teaser presented inCall of Duty: Warzone. One fan in particular, popular streamer Dr Disrespect, has outright mocked the limited-time in-game event that set the stage forCall of Duty: Vanguardas being weak and underwhelming.

While he doesn’t appear to have any serious gripes with theCall of Duty: Vanguardtrailer, Dr Disrespect goes out of his way to criticize the event itself, which he expected more from. The limited-time in-game event hasCall of Duty: Warzoneplayers drop into a unique playlist that tasks them with destroying a train running through Verdansk, after which they can watch the trailer. Unfortunately for the streamer’s high expectations, he was simply dropped back into the lobby when the trailer was over.

Dr Disrespect’s first reaction after the trailer had concluded was to ask disbelievingly if there was a next step. When it became clear that this was all the event had to offer, he then asked his teammates if they’d like tocue upApex Legendsinstead of playing moreCall of Duty: Warzone. He went on to joke about having been blown out of the water by the teaser and ironically hoped that whoever worked on it was also involved in the brand new map.

According to Dr Disrespect, the main let-down – aside from the lack of content in the event – comes from the choice to make theCall of Duty: Vanguardpreview purely cinematic even though it comes packaged in an interactive medium. He states that he would have preferred a chance to get some hands-on experience with the new game, even if the playable content was only a 4v4 game of Capture The Flag. Despite his disappointment with the event, this does not appear to have dented his anticipation for the game itself, which will be usingModern Warfare2019’s engine.

The streamer does make it clear in his live stream that he is still looking forward to getting his hands onCall of Duty: Vanguard, and that he always looks forward to the newCall of Dutyeach year. He also states that he’s specifically interested in the map change and the multiplayer, as well as generally interested in what Sledgehammer Games is bringing to theCall of Dutytable. WithCall of Duty: Vanguard likely to be a huge success, odds are good that Dr Disrespect will end up enjoying the full game more than the teaser.
