New Year’s Resolutions are a way of setting goals for the coming year, and they come from all walks of life. It may be focused on health or finances, and in the gaming industry, there are plenty out there who set their own gaming goals too. Whether that’s to work through the backlog, beat certain games, or acquire morePlatinum Trophies/a bigger gamerscore, it’s all there. Notably,YouTubestreamer Dr Disrespect has revealed his New Year’s Resolution, but it’s not about his gaming career.
In a recent stream following the holidays, the Doc opened with his New Year’s Resolution. Even with his motto of “violence, speed, and momentum,” it’s an ambitious goal for theYouTubestreamer.

In short,Dr Disrespectwants to put on “85 pounds of all brutal muscle.” It should be noted that it’s not always clear for his streams, but the Doc is quite muscular as is. He’s always had a more active lifestyle and even played NCAA Division II basketball in college, where his 6-foot-8 frame was likely a major component. As such, while it is ambitious, it’s not without potential. In fact, the Doc showed off his muscles on-stream stating, “we’re building the foundation and it’s still here.” (Relevant section around the 23:00-mark below.)
He also stated his goal directly following this: So, we’re going to be at a good spot heading into next year man. I’m looking to gain 85 pounds of all brutal muscle.” Later in the stream, a fan joked about skipping leg days and Doc denied it vehemently, stating he doesn’t understand the joke—especially when it applies to tall people such as himself.
Speaking of “super-athletic” people like tall basketball players, he said “we get a bad wrap about the perception of skinny legs or something. It just blows my mind. Here’s the thing: when you’re 6’8 and standing next to…5’4, our muscles are going to be stretched out. But, we’re going to look so much more explosive than you.”
It’ll be interesting to see if the Doc hits his New Year’s Resolution, if for the sole fact that so many people do not. That’s obviously not the only thing he’s going on in 2022 either. Aside from his physical workouts and streaming schedule every week, he’s also gotMidnight Society—a triple-A studio made of formerCall of Dutydevs. It’s doubtful much from it is shown in 2022, but there’s no doubt it’s working behind the scenes, potentially onDoc’s idea of a vertical battle royale game.
