Fans of Soulsborne games familiar with theDark Soulsseries may recall similar tools called Carvings. The Prattling Pates function similarly, emitting simple voice messages such as “Hello,” “Thank you,” “Please Help,” and more. With these playful items, communication becomes somewhat easier inElden Ring. There are a total of eight different Prattling Pates, all scattered throughout the Lands Between, and here’s how you can obtain them all.
How to Get “Hello” Prattling Pate
Stormfoot Catacombs, Limgrave
The “Hello” Prattling Pate is the first one of its kind which most players will find inElden Ring. It is located inside theStormfoot Catacombs in Limgrave. To find this dungeon, head northwest from the Church of Elleh where you meet Merchant Kale. The entrance to Stormfoot Catacombs is located at the bottom of the cliffs.
After entering the Stormfoot Catacombs, look for a fire-breathing pillar. The “Hello” Prattling Pate lies on a corpse next to the first fire-breathing pillar in this catacomb. On the way, be careful of all the fanged imps hiding around in Stormfoot Catacombs. These enemies can be quite deadly, especially against players with low vigor.
How to Get “Thank You” Prattling Pate
Tombsward Catacombs, Weeping Peninsula
For the “Thank You” Prattling Pate, you will have to head to theTombsward Catacombsin Weeping Peninsula. The door to this catacomb is located south of the Church of Pilgrimage. Players can locate the Church of Pilgrimage atop the northern hill in the Weeping Peninsula. The “Thank You” Prattling Pate awaits in the final room of the Tombsward Catacombs, where four skeletons lie in wait to ambush you.
How to Get “Please Help” Prattling Pate
Impaler’s Catacombs, Weeping Peninsula
“Please Help” Prattling Pate is another such item you’re able to find in the Weeping Peninsula. It is located inside theImpaler’s Catacombsfound north of Oridys’s Rise. Players will have to take the Spiritspring Jump located next to the Castle Morne Rampart grace site to reach Oridys’s Rise. Now, go towards the north to find a cliff with a small forest. Look for the Impaler’s Catacombs’ entrance at the foot of the cliff.
To acquire the “Please Help” Prattling Pate in the Impaler’s Catacombs, navigate to the bottom sewage room. Look for the room with a spiked ceiling and activate its floor to reveal a hidden area below. Quickly step away from the floor, then jump down to the watery area to find the “Please Help” Prattling Pate.
How to Get “Wonderful” Prattling Pate
Cliffbottom Catacombs, Liurnia of the Lakes
The “Wonderful” Prattling Pate is located in theCliffbottom Catacombs in Liurnia of the Lakes. The path to these catacombs is not straightforward, making them easy to overlook during regular playthroughs. However, players seeking Prattling Pates must venture to the Cliffbottom Catacombs.
To get to theCliffbottom Catacombs, go to the Lake-Facing Cliffs site of grace and use the large slabs on the north to enter Liurnia. Now, keep heading north until you find the Liurnia Highway North grace site. Take a sharp east turn and start going south. You will find the entrance to the Cliffbottom Catacombs next to the bottom of the cliff.
Similar to other catacombs, the Cliffbottom Catacombs contain a boss room locked behind a door that requires a lever to open. The “Wonderful” Prattling Pate is located in the room with the lever. This area is teeming with omens, so exercise caution, as failing to do so may necessitate revisiting the dungeon to retrieve the item.
How to Get “Apologies” Prattling Pate
Unsightly Catacombs, Altus Plateau
The “Apologies” Prattling Pate is found next to the lever in the Unsightly Catacombs, located southwest of Altus Plateau. To reach this location, head northwest from the Abandoned Coffin grace site and make your way to the Perfumer’s Ruins. The entrance to the Unsightly Catacombs lies just below the cliff south of the Perfumer’s Ruins, requiring twoStonesword Keysto unlock.
How to Get “You’re Beautiful” Prattling Pate
Hermit Village, Mt. Gelmir
Unlike other Prattling Pates, the “You’re Beautiful” Prattling Pate serves a special purpose in progressingBoc’s questline. For this reason, many players prioritize obtaining this particular Prattling Pate. Fortunately, acquiring the “You’re Beautiful” Prattling Pate does not entail delving into catacombs; it is found in theHermit Village within Mt. Gelmir.
Journeying to theHermit Villageis lengthy, as players must navigate around Mt. Gelmir. After reaching the Craftsman’s Shack grace site, continue northeast to find the Hermit’s Village. The “You’re Beautiful” Prattling Pate should be visible as a purple item near one of the houses on the east side.
How to Get “Let’s Get to It” Prattling Pate
Sainted Hero’s Grave, Altus Plateau
The “Let’s Get to It” Prattling Pate is located in the Sainted Hero’s Grave within Altus Plateau. Players can access the Sainted Hero’s Grave by traveling west from the Rampartside Path grace site. However, the entrance is guarded by aBlack Knife Assassinwho drops the legendary dagger,Black Knife.
The “Let’s Get to It” Prattling Pate can be found on a corpse in a room with the shadow Grave Warden Duelist. This dungeon features only one Warden Duelist enemy, making it easy to identify the room containing the Prattling Pate. However, reaching this point will prove challenging, as the dungeon is rife with formidable enemies such as Imps, Wraith Callers, Revenants, and more.
How to “Get My Beloved” Prattling Pate
Miquella’s Haligtree
The final Prattling Pate, “My Beloved,” is located inMiquella’s Haligtree. This legacy dungeon becomes accessible only after obtaining both halves of the Haligtree medallion. Once acquired, proceed to theConsecrated Snowfieldand solve the Ordina’s Evergaol puzzle to unlock the teleporter to Haligtree.
After making it to the Haligtree, unlock the Haligtree Canopy site of grace right in front of you. “My Beloved” Prattling Pate is located at the tip of the branch on the west of Haligtree Canopy grace site. Carefully jump down to the branch with a giant mushroom and four envoys and climb the mushroom to claim the “My Beloved” Prattling Pate.
