In Colosseum mode, however, players may find that fewer spells tend to work on players as much as the spells would have on the enemiesin the open worldofElden Ring.
10Stars Of Ruin
TheStars of Ruinsorcery spell inElden Ringis one of the game’s most PVP-infamous spells in the game. That said, it isn’t exactly overpowered, but it is definitely up there. Stars of Ruin is asorcery spellthat will cost players 32 FP.
Stars of Ruin will summon twelve star-like projectiles that will attack an enemy by homing into them. Unfortunately for those enemies, Stars of Ruin is almost impossible to avoid completely, though it is avoidable by rolling into the stars. to obtain this spell, players need to speak to Master Lusat in Caelid.
9Swift Glintstone Shard
Swift Glintstone Shardis one of the more common PVP sorceries that players will often see usedin the Colosseum modeinElden Ring. Swift Glintstone Shard is a cheap spell that will only cost players 5 FP, but it will more than likely be used in succession.
Swift Glintstone Shard fires a simple and fast projectile at an opponent. Of course, due to its speed, Swift Glintstone Shard doesn’t do outstanding damage, but the sorcery is known to be one of the best for punishing opponents. Players can purchase the spell after delivering the Academy Scroll.
8Carian Greatsword
TheCarian Greatswordis another common sorcery that players may be seen being often used inElden Ringand the game’s Colosseum mode. Carian Greatsword is a sorcery that summons a large, magic greatsword and sweeps the area in front of the player.
With recent buffs to the spell in a patch, Carian Greatsword costs 12 FP and does a little more damage than its initial counterpart. To obtain Carian Greatsword, players will only have to purchase it for 10,000 Runes from Mirel at the Church of Vows.
7Cannon Of Haima
There aren’t many viable AOE options when it comes to sorcery spells inElden Ring, but the best one is easily the Cannon of Haima. Essentially, Cannon of Haima isElden Ring’stake on a modern grenade launcher.
Cannon of Haimasummons a large, bomb-like projectile that explodes when it hits the ground after being practically lobbed. This spell can even hit opponents through walls, not that it matters in Colosseum. Cannon of Haima costs 38 FP and can be found at the Converted Fringe Tower within a chest.
6Carian Slicer
Carian Sliceris one of the most popular sorcery spells inElden Ring, especially for confrontational magic-melee builds. Carian Slicer summons a magic one-handed sword for the player to wield at the cost of 4 FP for each attack. Carian Slicer acts as a natural sword and is very quick.

This spell is great for disrupting enemies and especially great for landing combo attacks. To obtain Carian Slicer, one must do the task of obtaining the Royal House Scroll and taking it to one of three sorcerers (Miriel, Sellen, or Seluvis).
5Star Shower
The Stars of Ruin spell inElden Ringis essentially the upgraded version of theStar Showerspell, but there are important differences between the two sorceries. Star Shower does do less damage than Stars of Ruin, but players will see in a battle that Star Shower has great tracking compared to Stars of Ruin.
Star Shower also has six projectiles rather than twelve. Star Shower, which costs 23 FP, can be purchased by a sorcerer after delivering the Conspectus Scroll to one of those three sorcerers.
4Rock Sling
Players inElden Ringmay not want to directly deal with unnatural magic forcers to fight foes, but rather utilize magic to use the environment to their advantage. The Rock Sling spell will summon boulders from the ground and throw them at the player’s opponents.
TheRock Slingis great for general occurrences inElden Ring, especially for Colosseum. Rock Sling will cost players 18 FP in order to be used, which isn’t too much FP for the results of the attack. Rock Sling can be found sitting in a chest within a cellar near the Streets of Sages Ruins.
3Comet Azur
Within the best sorcery spells inElden Ring, lies the extremely powerful Comet Azur sorcery that has been famous for defeatingElden Ringbosses in a single casting.Comet Azuris a sorcery that takes a while to cast, but the result is a powerful beam attack that can devastate foes the more FP the player uses.

Initially, Comet Azur will cost 40 FP in order to be cast, while costing 10 FP for each extra charge. To obtain the Kamehameha-like sorcery Comet Azur, players will need to venture to Hermit Village and speak to Primeval Sorcerer Azur who is resting atop cliffs near the village.
2Aspects Of The Crucible: Breath
One of the more underrated and lesser-known spells inElden Ringis the incantation Aspect of the Crucible: Breath.Aspects of the Crucible: Breathis an incantation that creates a large throat pouch on the player’s neck in which the player will spout flames from their mouth.
The greatest aspect of this 28 FP-costing incantation is that players are free to move around and turn to different angles to change where the attack hits. This is amazing to use inColosseum modes with more than two players. To obtain the spell, players must defeat Rykard and then come back to the boss arena to kill Tanith and a knight to be rewarded with the spell.
1Ancient Dragons' Lightning Strike
Just like Aspects of the Crucible: Breath, Ancient Dragons' Lightning Strike isan incantation that players can wieldusing a Seal in one of their hands.Ancient Dragons' Lightning Strike is an incantation spellthat summons red lightning bolts that scatter and swarms the area in which the player casts the spell.
This incantation will cost players 36 FP. Though the incantation can be tricky to land on other players inElden Ring, when timed right, Ancient Dragons' Lightning Strike deals incredible damage. It can even end the match in one cast. To obtain the spell, players must deliver the Ancient Dragon Prayerbook to Mirel or Corhyn.
