One of these involves a specific NPC called theOverseer.This guide will go over where to find this character, and how to help her after delivering the inoculations to the settlers and the raiders.
Where To Find The Overseer
The overseer’s home islocated in Sutton.While she does travel to various locations depending on where the player is in the main quest line, this is her primary location.
After leaving the vault, head to the Wayward. From there, head east until you reach Sutton. The overseer’s home has its own map marker, making it very easy to find. Players typically come across this location soon after leaving the vault, especially if they are following the main quest line.

Tell The Overseer About The Inoculations
After handing out the inoculations to the settlers and the raiders, go to the overseer’s home and fill her in. She is very grateful and will thank the player. She goes on to explain how other people from Vault 76 have gone trekking into the mountainsto find ‘treasure.‘They are looking for Vault 79, a sealed vault said to have untold riches inside. It turns out that this is true, but you don’t find out until later on.
The Overseer will explain that she has a plan to find out what’s inside the vault.You’ll need to gain access to the restricted wing inside Vault-Tec University.After wrapping up the conversation, head over to Vault-Tec University and meet up with the Overseer there.

Vault-Tec University is located on theoutskirts of Morgantown. Head inside the main building, where you’ll need to take out some hostile robots. Next, head to the market, where you’ll find the Overseer having a conversation with Professor-Bot. The robot says that neither the player nor the Overseer has the right credentials to gain access to the restricted wing. To gain access,you’ll need to go through a vault simulationthat Professor-Bot designed.
After the conversation with Professor-Bot, speak to the Security Chief, who will fill you in on what needs to be done during this vault simulation. There’s a hostile situation going on between the engineers and the medical staff, and it’s up to you to resolve it.

The Restricted Wing
Find Out What’s Inside Vault 79
After speaking to Professor-Bot, you’ll be granted access to the restricted wing. It’s worth noting that this area has a few robot enemies that may be quite challenging for low-level players, so be sure to bring a decent weapon.
To search the restricted wing,follow the quest marker until you get to the back, where you’ll find a projector. Interact with the projector and watch the small film, which that goes into detail onhow Vault 79 is filled with gold. It’s a highly fortified vault with lots of security measures in place to keep people out. But, if someone can make it inside, they stand to make a fortune.
Finishing Overseer, Overseen
Speak To The Settlers
After watching the presentation, the Overseer will talk about how the contents of the vault could be used to help people all over Appalachia. If the player has a high Intelligence level, they can talk about using the gold tostart a new and more stable form of currency. She says that you’ll need help in order to get into the vault.You need to talk to both the raiders and the settlers, and find out what help they can offer.
Head toFoundationand speak to Paige. Paige’s primary concern is helping the local people of Appalachia, and the gold contents of the vault could really help the locals. He agrees to help and says that you’ll need to find a weak point in the vault. This starts the quest Trade Secrets. It will also finish the Overseer, Overseen quest; however, players should still also talk to the Raiders.
Speak To The Raiders
After finishing the conversation with Paige, head over to the Crater. Inside the Crater Core, speak to Meg, who will be pretty interested in getting inside the vault. But she will ask you to convince her to join. With a Perception level of 4 or more, you can convince her to offer her services to help get inside Vault 79.
After completing Overseer, Overseen, you’ll receive some random rewards. The rewards will consist of XP, ammo, Chems, and a couple of other random items.
