The creators behind the famousFallout 4modFallout: Londonhave recently delayed it due to the release date ofStarfield. Competing with Bethesda’s new huge open-world RPG wouldn’t do the mod any good, as it caters to a similar player base, andStarfieldis one of themost eagerly anticipated games of 2023.
Fallout 4has several excellent mods, but not many total conversions, which makes it even more exciting when one is released. So, whenFallout: Londonwas announced last year with a full 18-minute gameplay video, many fans were very curious about it. In fact, even Bethesda was so astonished by the quality of the work done so far that it offered to hire some of the developers on the team, and the former lead technical adviser of the mod Ryan Johnson left the project to work for Bethesda.

Now, a new update video released by the team behindthe eagerly expectedFallout: Londonhas revealed that the game will no longer be released in September, but sometime during October to December. The idea was to release the full mod during Q3, butStarfield’s previous delay made the devs afraid that their launch would be eclipsed by Bethesda’s new space exploration title. According to the team, due to having more time, they will be able to polish the experience ofFallout: Londoneven more and offer gamers a more smooth experience right from the start.
This mod is going to be a standalone experience based in London, and it will be set in the year 2237, between the events of the first and second games in the franchise. As it happens in an entirely new country, all the factions in the game will be 100% new, and they will include an organization based on the tales of King Arthur. Previous statements from the developers claim thatFallout: Londonwill have a huge map, around the same size asFallout 4, as well as some smaller hubs.
Aside from this project, there are several otherambitiousFallout 4modsin development right now. Another highlight isFallout: Miami. This total conversion mod is set to follow a similar path toFallout: London, creating a whole new area and featuring a brand-new storyline for players to be engaged with while they explore it.
Fallout 4is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions coming in 2023. TheFallout: Londonmod will be released in the last quarter of 2023.
