The first two installments haveendings that have kept video game fans talking, and regardless of whether people were happy with the outcomes, a third game would please a lot of people. There’s no telling whether Naughty Dog will continue the story or create a new one in the same universe, but that hasn’t stopped gamers from creating their own concepts.

Using the latest version of Unreal Engine, a new video shows what a hypothetical Part 3 ofThe Last of Uscould look like. As with the two official games, it has a certain gloom to it, but also looks pretty fantastic. It uses dialogue from the second title to great effect, and while it doesn’t provide much in the way of a potential story arc, it certainly whets the appetite of those who thoroughly enjoy Naughty Dog’s post-apocalyptic franchise.

As interesting as the concept is, this one is probably more of a sore point for fans. At least withThe Least of Us Part 3video, there’s a possibility that the game could manifest one day. However, when it comes to Kojima/del Toro’sSilent Hillproject, that will never come to fruition, so gamers have to make do with fan concepts.

There’s also the remake, which hit the PS5 storefront not long ago. Whether a Part 3 will ever emerge can only be speculated about at this stage, but maybe the developer has ideas on where it would like the story to go next.
