To unlock the Ixali Beast Tribe, players will need to have completed the level 41 Main Scenario Quest “In Pursuit of the Past”, followed by the level 1 sidequest “A Bad Bladder” in New Gridania (X: 10, Y:11). Once the Beast Tribe is unlocked, reputation with the Ixali must be increased by completing daily Beast Tribe quests, with a maximum allowance of 12 Beast Tribe quests available per day. Players instead focusing solely on obtaining the Direwolf can accelerate their progress by spending all of their daily allowance on the Ixali quests that reward the most reputation, shortening the grind to as little as 15 days with this strategy.
