The fate of the Agents inFortniterests in the players' hands. Season 2 of Chapter 2 is here and the secret agent themed season is jampacked with content, new items,and of course, secrets.
An exciting aspect of this new season ofForniteis a light vs. dark-like Ghost vs. Shadow faction battle. The two factions are pitted against each other, not only in the lore within the game, but also spread throughout the map itself. It will be interesting to see who will be favored in the end, Ghost or Shadow, by the fanbase. The officialFortniteTwitter page put up a poll to see which side fans favor, specifically for Brutus, the first agent that players unlock. At the time of writing, the Ghost faction is in the lead with 51%.

To be able to pick a faction for any given agent in-game, players must unlock the agent and complete a set of challenges. Once completed, that player can then pick thepermanent Ghost or Shadow factionfor that agent. Most of the agents have a black or white outfit, depending on their faction. Epic Games has also hinted that other long term seasonal ramifications may take place depending on these selections.
Fortnitehas been one of the most successful video games of all time. Recently, however, it has seen a slightfall back down to Earth. With how highFortniterose, it’s hard to imagine the game remaining at such a place forever. Still, Epic Games will have to reevaluate and find ways to connect with the fanbase in creative ways. The Ghost vs Shadow idea is certainly a fun way to create interaction with the players.
Crossovers have also been a key element to success forFortnite.This timeDeadpoollooks to have a huge impacton the season in ways that no crossover has had before for the series. No one knows if or when a skin will be available in the game for Deadpool. But the excitement is rising. It would also be interesting if players could pick a Ghost or Shadow version of Deadpool.
Season 2 of Chapter 2 is shaping up to be a memorable one. This is agolden opportunity for Epic Gamesto seize back a lot of the player base with creative design choices. It will be intriguing to see the final results of the Twitter poll and to see how the season shapes out in terms of which faction leads the way.
