Although introduced early in theGenshin Impactstory, Baizhu only became a playable character after a few years of his initial appearance. As a Dendro healer, it’s easy for players to find a good team comp for Baizhu since Supports units can always find a place in most teams. However, the best teams comps for Baizhu inGenshin Impactare the ones that take the most advantage of his ability to shield, heal, and minorly apply Dendro while off-field.

This is especially great for selfish characters like Cyno, who’s desperate for a reliable Dendro enabler and healer at the same time. However, other than Quicken, Bloom team also works great with the Bubu Pharmacy owner thanks to his Ascension passive.
4Baizhu + Cyno + Yelan + Raiden Shogun
Cyno has always suffered from not having anyone that can match the length of hisElemental Burst duration inGenshin Impact. Even a solid Dendro driver like Nahida can’t keep up with Cyno’s Burst duration, especially since she needs to keep reapplying her Skill when small enemies are defeated. Now, Baizhu can solve that problem since he has some off-field Dendro application that stays with Cyno throughout most of his Burst duration. Baizhu’s application can be sufficient since in the last few seconds of Cyno’s Burst, he can still have his Aggravate triggered from the remaining Quickened enemies (assuming Yelan’s Hydro didn’t remove the debuff). Baizhu’s A4 passive can also crazily increase Cyno’s Aggravate reaction by up to 40% extra damage.
Other than Baizhu being a perfect companion for anyCyno Team comp inGenshin Impact, Yelan can be an additional DPS that can help Cyno deal more damage while off-field. Yelan is capable of applying Hydro continuously during Cyno’s Burst to trigger Electro-charged reactions. Additionally, Baizhu can help Yelan create some Dendro Cores, which Cyno will end up triggering into Hyperbloom. However, that’s not everything Yelan can do. Taking advantage of Cyno’s long Burst duration, he can consume all of Yelan’s A4 buff that grants him up to 40% extra damage on his attacks. Finally, Baizhu, Cyno, and Yelan all three heavily rely on their Elemental Burst without being able to get it themselves. That’s where Raiden Shogun shines inGenshin Impact. She can reliably regenerate all their Bursts while perfectly covering for Cyno’s off-time. Not to mention, Raiden is also able to increase the entire’s team Burst damage when her Eye of Stormy Judgment is active.
Team Roles
3Baizhu + Nilou + Nahida + Xingqiu
Without relying on Burgeon orHyperbloom inGenshin Impact, Nilou is able to transform her team into taking maximum advantage of her Bountiful Cores. Of course, with great damage comes great restrictions, and that’s exactly what Nilou team comps suffer from. Players who want to build Nilou teams must consider limitations like having to include a healer to heal all the friendly fire her Bountiful Cores cause, in addition to only being able to include Dendro or Hydro units in the team. That makes Baizhu a perfect pair with Nilou since he’s a Dendro unit, can heal, shield, and can easily apply Dendro.

Including Baizhu in the team comp is great, but players still need atop-tier Dendro user inGenshin Impact. Nahida can help the team thrive as her Elemental Skill has an amazing and continuous off-field Dendro application that will surely trigger more Bountiful Cores in addition to the insane Elemental Mastery buff she shares from her A1 passive. To trigger the most amount of Blooms in this Baizhu team comp, players need an equally reliable Hydro enabler. Xingqiu can effectively fill that role since he can regenerate his own Elemental Burst with ease. Once Nilou’s passive is active and Nahida marked all enemies, players can Burst with Xingqiu and lead the field with Nahida to create and explode as many Bountiful Cores as possible.
2Baizhu + Kuki Shinobu + Nahida + Xingqiu
Hyperbloom team comps are one of the most famous teams that heavily rely onDendro reactions inGenshin Impact. To perform well, Hyperbloom teams need a reliable Electro user that can keep triggering Blooms into Hyperblooms. Kuki Shinobu is a great candidate since she continuously scans the nearby area with her Elemental Skill and triggers all the Blooms she hits. While her healing is effective in such teams, it’s going to be unnecessary while Baizhu is available to shield and heal the team. This meansKuki can be built on a full Elemental Mastery buildor be replaced with other good off-field Electro units like Raiden Shogun.

To create more Dendro Cores, players will need great off-field Dendro and Hydro enablers like Xingqiu orNahida inGenshin Impact. Both units will help the team to create as many Blooms as possible before the next Kuki scan hits them into Hyperblooms. With the help of many buffs this Baizhu team has, players are sure to maximize the damage of each Hyperbloom damage. Just remember that Kuki should be healed by Baizhu’s Burst every 6s if players wish to benefit from his Ascension passive.
1Baizhu + Alhaitham + Raiden Shogun + Yelan
Baizhu doesn’t only fit in Bloom teams as he is also a very strong Support forQuicken teams inGenshin Impact. However, most of the time, players usually end up with a Quicken/Hyperbloom combo with their team. Note that Quicken reaction places a debuff on the enemy for a few seconds, allowing Electro and Dendro to trigger Aggravate and Spread, respectively. However, when Hydro or Pyro comes in contact with the enemy, the Quicken debuff will disappear. Fortunately, for the Hydro case, Quicken will remain for a brief time before disappearing, unlike how Pyro application will lead to instant Burning.
This is why bringing an Electro enabler, Hydro sub-DPS, and a Dendro main DPS is a popular choice. For Electro, Raiden Shogun is a favorite thanks to her ability to fill downtime, regenerate Energy, and provide great application, but other units like Yae Miko, Fischl, and Kuki Shinobu are all viable as well. Next, an off-field user like Yelan orXingqiu are always a great choiceto have on the team. The difference between Yelan and Xingqiu is that Xingqiu is able to refill his Burst while Yelan suffers a bit in that area. Other than that, Yelan potential damage is much higher than Xingqiu’s damage and utility. Since Raiden is available and can effectively help Yelan gets her Burst back, it’s better to include Yelan to help create Blooms with Alhaitham and insanely buff his damage with her passive. Now, add that to the great Baizhu’s A4 passive, and Alhaitham is going to enjoy some big numbers.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
