Given how long Mondstadt has been part of theGenshin Impactopen world, many players have discovered some problems with it, with some of them pushing for changes to the city. Mondstadt is the first place thatGenshin Impactplayers will come across as they start their journey with Paimon and because of how many players have seen every nook and cranny, some have suggestions on how to improve the area.
A Reddit user recently made a suggestion to make Mondstadt better that has garnered the attention of much of theGenshin Impactcommunity. Mondstadt, the Crown of the North is a central hub full of things to do and vendors to trade with, but there are some design choices thatGenshin Impactplayers have noticed since the HoYoverse ARPG was released back in 2020. While some fans have discovered details like therain halting inGenshin Impactas soon as a player enters the city, others have ideas on what could be changed for the betterment of the community.

Reddit user FrawztFyre has garnered 18,500 upvotes on a screenshot that shows one of theGenshin Impactcharactersstanding next to a fountain that’s central to the Mondstadt city. Facing a corner wall in their image, theGenshin Impactplayer suggested that Hoyoverse should add stairs to the corner as they and many others usually climb it rather than taking the stairs. Because of how Mondstadt is designed, there are points in which jumping and climbing are quicker and more efficient than taking the stairs due to the law of physics that states the shortest distance between two points is a straight line.
With similar walls on either side of the one highlighted by FrawztFyre, their recommendation to alter Mondstadt wouldn’t harm the overall aesthetic of the vibrant vegetation surrounding the fountain.Players are often climbing over this wall as suggested by FrawztFyre because it speeds up the process of accessing the more important part of Mondstadt to acquirenewGenshin Impactchallengesor interact with vendors. Although there are already nearby stairs in the part of Mondstadt city that FrawztFyre has focused on, the distance traveled is much longer upon taking that route rather than climbing the aforementioned wall.
FrawztFyre is far from the only player hoping for thisexpansion toGenshin Impact’s Mondstadt, as some fans suggested maintaining the castle structure for lore purposes while others advocated for improvements to traversal. Because of how many players have upvoted theGenshin Impactpost recommending this change, it may reach developers at HoYoverse who could implement some sort of change to limit the need for climbing in the area.
