The update will expand on the game’s story and see the release of new weapons, artifacts, and events.Genshin Impactis all set to receive new content in the upcoming version 4.0, and fans are excited for the release of Fontaine, one of the seven explorable regions of Teyvat represented by the Hydro element. During a recent live stream, fans got a sneak peek into what this region has to offer, and it looks likeFontaine inGenshin Impactwill feature large underwater zonesfilled with quests, chests, and formidable enemies. According to recent leaks, Fontaine’s story will be based on the French Revolution and its design will draw inspiration from real-life locations in France.RELATED:Genshin Impact Leak Reveals Hydro Traveler KitTwitter user merlin_impact has shared a breakdown of Freminet’s complete kit, which will seemingly rely on physical damage. Freminet’s Normal Attack will perform up to four consecutive strikes, while his Charged Attack will perform spinning attacks against nearby enemies. His Elemental Skill is called Pressurized Floe and will deal Cryo damage before putting Freminet into Pers Time. When the character uses Normal Attack while in Pers Time, he will unleash waves of frost that deal Cryo damage.
Freminet’s Fundamental Force is called Pneuma and will let him deal Pneuma-aligned Cryo damage at certain intervals. His Elemental Burst, called Shadow Hunter’s Ambush, will deal AoE Cryo damage, reset the cooldown of Freminet’s Elemental Skill, and put him into Stalking Mode for 10 seconds. While in Stalking Mode, Freminet’s interruption resistance will increase, and the frost released by his Normal Attacks will deal twice the damage.
As confirmed by developer HoYoverse, Freminet won’t be the only character that will appear in the upcoming Fontaine region.Genshin Impactwill also introduce Lynel and Lynette, the magician duo who were always common names in any discussion about the new story arc. Players have little knowledge about their affiliations, relationship, and story background, but recent leaks have suggested that Lynel will be a five-star bow user while his mysterious partner Lynette will wield a sword and deal Anemo damage.
With the Fontaine region coming soon, players will find a lot of new content to enjoy, including new characters, quests, and minor events.PreviousGenshin Impactleakshave suggested the region will feature a mix of traditional architectures along with technologically advanced elements like water wheels. As for its story, it will be based on the difference between the lower and upper classes of society.
