A new leak fromGenshin Impacthas revealed four new weapons planned to be added to the game with Version 4.1, with each sharing a steampunk aesthetic. With a plethora of new characters set to be introduced following the Fontaine region’s release, HoYoverse has also confirmed a variety of new weapons will be added to the RPG as well.Version 4.0 will feature 12 weaponswith “The First Great Magic” as a new five-star bow and eleven different four-star weapons, with several available through the in-game crafting system. Now, even more new weapons are being teased.

Each new character added toGenshin Impacttypically sees their own signature weapon added, catered to suit the character’s specific play style. Weapons like the Thundering Pulse have become meta-defining choices for characters like Fischl and Yoimiya, while others like the “Skyward” weapons are popular generic options. Four-star characters also typically receive their own signature four-star weapons, often available as free rewards during events coinciding with their release. Now, leaks have revealed a plethora of new weapons coming with Version 4.1.

A recent batch of leaks shared by prominentGenshin Impactleaker Tao via fellow leaker Videre has revealedfour new weapons planned for Version 4.1. While no names or gameplay details were shared for the weapons, each bears a similar steampunk-inspired design with gears used heavily throughout. Several weapons appear to take inspiration from real-world items, with the Claymore resembling a chainsaw and the Polearm featuring a drill at its tip.Genshin Impact’s Version 4.1 updateis expected to launch in late September.

The new weapons for Version 4.1 serve as just a few of several new options coming to players' arsenals with Fontaine’s launch. Alongside the previously mentioned craftable weapons, Version 4.0 will introducefive new weapons toGenshin Impact’s battle passfor the first time in the game’s history. The new Battle Pass weapons look to boast powerful generic abilities, like the “Scion of the Blazing Sun” bow adding bonus damage to Charged Attacks and “Sacrificial Jade” providing off-field HP and Elemental Mastery. Players purchasing the premium Battle Pass will be able to choose from either the new or pre-existing premium weapons.

Genshin Impact’s new weapons in Version 4.1 look to be just a small part of a massive update to follow Fontaine’s release. Leaks have heavily suggestedFontaine’s first map expansion will debut in Version 4.1, rumored to be adding a “Prison” area. HoYoverse has also confirmed two new characters who will debut in Version 4.1 with Fontaine’s Chief Justice, Neuvilette, and the heavily rumored Wriothesley set to appear.Genshin Impact’s roster of characters and weapons is set to grow substantially throughout the coming updates as the game’s Fontaine cycle gets underway.
