A newGenshin Impactleak has revealed more details about the three upcoming skins for popular characters: Ganyu, Shenhe, and Xingqiu. Developer HoYoverse has introduced a pattern of adding new skins twice a year during their annual Summer event and the famous Lantern Rite Festival.
Even though the playable roster has always beenGenshin Impact’s focal point, developer HoYoverse has not introduced too many skins since 2020. The last outfits were released for two older iconic characters, Kaeya and Klee, both of whom have been part of the game since its release.
A newGenshin Impactleak has revealed the in-game screenshotsof the three upcoming skins for the Liyue trio. All three skins will be released during theLantern Rite event which celebrates the Lunar New Yearand is always held in the Liyue region, which is based on Chinese culture. All three skins feature a primary deep blue color complemented with gold accents. As per usual, players can expect one of the skins to be obtainable for free by completing some of the event-exclusive quests. The free outfit will probably belong to Xingqiu since he has a lower rarity compared to Ganyu and Shenhe. Previous leaks have also revealed the names of the three outfits:
Some fans have pointed out that HoYoverse should give at least one additional skin for free, especially since they’ve had a much more generous approach in giving away free stuff in their second most popular title,Honkai: Star Rail. Honkai fans had the opportunity tocollect the new five-star character Dr. Ratiofor free, which was HoYoverse’s way of thanking players for their support after winning multiple notable awards.
The fact that this will be the first time for HoYoverse to feature three instead of two new skins in one update could mean that two of these outfits could be obtainable for free. Fans seem to be excited the most about Xingqiu’s new skin, probably because, between the three characters, he usually has thehighest pick rate in the Spiral Abyss domain.
He is a decent Hydro support andpart of the famous National Team, which is a specific type of party consisting of four-star characters. Ganyu and Shenhe are both Cryo users with great synergy, since Shenhe’s supportive potential increases if she’s surrounded by characters that share the same element.
