A newGenshin Impactleak reveals more information about one of the most anticipated characters, the Hydro Archon. This new character is expected to make an appearance in the next major update which is expected to be Fontaine. So far every region that has been introduced to the game featured an Archon who serves as the nation’s main protector.It seems like that after Venti, Zhongli, Raiden Shogun, and Nahida, it’s time forGenshin Impactto introduce a new Archon to the game. There is not a lot of information about this character other than she’s also known as the God of Justice. Even though the Archon will most likely make an appearance in 4.0, it’s unlikely that she will be joining the playable roster in the same update.While Travelers wait to find out more information about this unique character,Genshin Impactleakers have been giving more information about the upcoming content. Even though the Hydro Archon was previously known by the name Focalors, a credible leaker, merlin_impact, has revealed that her real name could be Furina. Some fans suspect that she could be using both names which is not uncommon for the game’s Archons. For example,the Geo Archon Zhonglialso goes by the names Morax and Rex Lapis, and the most recently added Archon, Nahida, is also known as Lesser Lord Kusanali and God of Wisdom.
According to previous leaks, Focalors has a righteous personality and theArchon Quest will probably have Travelers fight for justice. Rumors also claim that she will be a “tsundere” which is a Japanese term for character development in which certain individuals with bitter personalities reveal a much softer side over time.
When it comes to her power on the field, she is expected to be a sword user which means that she will be the first Archon to have this weapon type. At the moment, three characters have this weapon and element combination: Nilou, Ayato, and Xingqiu.Furina’s Elemental Burst will reportedly allow her to manipulate gravitywhich led many fans to believe that she could allow certain characters in her party to move differently.
This would mean that she could allow certain DPS characters like Xiao to continuously use his Plunging Attacks. Just like the four previous Archons, Furina is expected to be a support which would allow her to fitmultiple team compositions inGenshin Impact.
