Genshin Impactis bringing two new Artifacts Sets in Version 4.6, and one of them seems to hint towards an upcoming Dendro character. Though not all ability kits are created equal inGenshin Impactand sometimes 5-stars such as Alhaitham and Neuvillette emerge on top of the meta, artifacts are arguably the main source of power for aGenshin Impactcharacter. Artifact Sets such as Viridescent Venerer and Emblem of Severed Fate have long been a mainstay when it comes to team-building inGenshin Impact, but Fontaine and Sumeru brought a fair few heavy hitters as well.
Given the emphasis on artifact farming, multiplequality-of-life changes inGenshin Impacthave recently attempted to streamline the process of both obtaining artifacts and managing a player’s inventory. Better filters, custom loadouts, and a more convenient leveling system have all been introduced during the Fontaine patch cycle. Though luck still plays the only factor when it comes to obtaining a desired artifact inGenshin Impact, the means through which players can target specific sets has improved.
The new artifacts were shared via Litianon theGenshin ImpactLeaks subreddit, and they both seem to be designed with new characters in mind. Given thatArlecchinowill debut inGenshin ImpactVersion 4.6, one of the Artifact Sets is tailor-made for her unique ability kit. The other set appears to buff the Burning reaction for Dendro, and given that no Dendro characters have yet been made to specialize in Burning, it’s highly probable that the set is intended for Emilie, a rumored Fontaine character expected to release in Version 4.8.

Though only Arlecchino makes use of the Bond of Life mechanic on an intrinsic level, theFontaine crafted weapons inGenshin Impactenable it for other characters as well. It remains to be seen just how powerful the artifact bonus is in combination with the weapons, but it will almost certainly be the best option for mainstream Arlecchino builds. On the other hand, the second set effectively turns Burning into a version of Superconduct, buffing a character’s damage up to 50% as opposed to buffing the reaction itself.
While Emilie is rumored to be a 5-star Dendro character, it’s quite possible that the new artifact set is also intended forfuture Natlan characters inGenshin Impact, such as Xbalanque or even the Pyro Archon. Given that Arlecchino’s final ability kit is no longer tied to Overload, HoYoverse could be saving the underrepresented Pyro reactions for Version 5.0 and beyond.
