Genshin Impactplayers have noticed an interesting connection between currently available Archons and their divine trees. Archons are known as some of the most powerful characters in the world of Teyvat. Their main job is to look over and protect their respective regions.
So farGenshin Impacthas introduced four out of seven major regions with Sumeru being the most recent addition. Sumeru’s storyline is slowly coming to an end which means that players can expect a new major region to arrive over the next couple of updates. While HoYoverse is yet to officially confirm the information, credible leakers have been hinting thatGenshin Impact’s next major region will be Fontaine which means that the Hydro Archon Focalors could soon make an appearance.

Genshin Impact’s main storylinerevolves around its Archons and so far there have been four different Archon Chapters, including the shorter Prologue Chapter introduced in Mondstadt. Reddit user acatista has shared an interesting connection between Archons and trees that many players might have missed. According to the game’s official storyline, the growth and survival of every divine three in the game are tied with a loss of a beloved character. For example, the massive oak tree in the Anemo region, also known as the Symbol of Mondstadt’s Hero, is the place where the legendary warrior Vennessa ascended to Celestia.
This character lived around a thousand years ago before the current timeline during the reigns of Mondstadt’s Aristocracy. Enslaved by tyrannical nobles, Vennessa served as a gladiator in the Colosseum known for her undefeated winning streak. She took down the Aristocracy and established thefamous Knights of the Favonius organizationwhich is active to this day. The second tree mentioned in the post is the one located near Mt. Nantianmen where Zhongli and the three Adepti sealed Azhdaha. Morax and Azhdaha used to be best friends, but the Geo Archon had to seal him as erosion started taking away his sanity.
The Sacred Sakura tree in Inazumais related to the region’s original Archon, Raiden Makoto, better known as Baal. Before her death, Makoto planted the sacred Sakura tree on top of Mt. Yougou which was later used by Ei to destroy all the enemies of Inazuma.
Similar to Makoto, Sumeru’s Greater Lord Rukkhadevata had to sacrifice herself to cure Irminsul. This divine tree grows deep underground, and it’s connected to all of Teyvat’s Ley Lines.Genshin Impact’s storylinerevealed that Irminsul is directly connected to the Dendro Archon’s consciousness, and it’s the root of Dendro elemental powers.
