Sucker Punch Productions is a development studio founded in 1997 and has thus far created two successful franchises,Sly CooperandInfamous. Its latest venture,Ghost of Tsushima, will be a PS4 exclusive and follows the story of the first Mongol invasion of Japan in 1274. The player takes on the role of Jin Sakai, one of the last surviving samurai on theisland of Tsushimawho must help repel the invaders and win back Japan’s independence. In the process, he will learn that honorable tactics and samurai traditions must sometimes be cast aside and unconventional methods of fighting embraced.

Many of the inhabitants of Tsushima Island were slaughtered and the story still holds national significance in the history of Japan. ThoughGhost of Tsushimais fictional, the development team consulted with both cultural authorities and a sword-fighting expert to create an authentic historical experience.
