Whilesearching for Skoll and Hati in Vanaheim during Chapter 13,God of War Ragnarokplayers will be able to break from the main quest path to find a Nornir Chest hidden in the Eastern Barri Woods. It’s an easy one to miss, though, thankfully, players will be able to return to the location at a later point in the event that their eagerness to progress the main story leads to them doing so.

Opening the chest requiresGod of War Ragnarokplayers to use Kratos' Leviathan Axe to spin three wooden devices so that they display the runes on the side of the chest. Unfortunately, they’ll first need to find these wooden spinners, which means burning away some vines and taking down a fairly powerful enemy who’s standing guard over the last one.

How to Unlock the Eastern Barri Woods Nornir Chest

Players will be able to find the Eastern Barri Woods Nornir Chest by following a path to the left shortly before their arrival at the wolves' den. As with a few of theother Nornir Chests inGod of War Ragnarok, players will need to interact with three wooden spinners in order to break the seal, though, thankfully, all three spinners are fairly close to where they find the chest.

The first is to the immediate left of the chest itself and will initially display a rune that looks a little like a lowercase n. Turning this once to the rightusing Kratos' Leviathan Axewill change its active rune to one that looks more like an F, and, in turn, break the first part of the seal on the Eastern Barri Woods Nornir Chest.

To find the second spinner, players should backtrack just a little and then look over to their right. There, up in the bushes, they’ll see another wooden spinner being smothered by some vines. They’re too far away to burn away with onlythe Blades of Chaos, so players should have their companion fire a Sigil Arrow or two at them before trying to ignite them. It starts off displaying a B rune, but turning it once to the right will change it to one which looks a little like a P, breaking the second part of the chest’s seal.

For the final spinner, players should head back toward the chest and follow the path to the left. After defeating the enemy up ahead and following the path to the end, they should then be able to see the third spinner dead ahead of them, as well as one ofOdin’s Ravensoff to the right. The spinner starts off displaying an R rune, so players will need to turn it left twice until it displays a rune that looks like a C.

With the seal now broken, players can return to the Eastern Barri Woods Nornir Chest to claim their reward. Assuming they haven’t already opened 30 chests and unlocked the Full Belly Trophy yet, they’ll find either an Idunn Apple or a Horn of Blood Mead inside. If they have opened 30 chests already, they’ll instead get something a little less desirable, such as Hacksilver orShattered Runes.
