An upcoming mod promises to help contemporizeGrand Theft Auto 4all the more, updating its visuals and providing under-the-hood improvements to help the game continue to connect with modern audiences whilst supporting the loyal fanbase who still love to play in its sandbox world twelve years after its initial release.

Veteran modder Hayssam Keilany, who has been delivering iCEnhancer mods since 2010, is currently working on a brand new version that will provide some impressive overhauls to theGrand Theft Auto 4experience. Volumetric fog, improved water effects, new tree models, high-quality reflections, multi-layered clouds, and enhanced shadows at night are just some of the refined aspects players can look forward to with the forthcoming mod.
RevIVe is described as a project, “aiming at improving performance and quality of GTA IV.” The announcement of the project was accompanied by a high-quality trailer showcasing the improvements as gamers are given a virtual tour ofGrand Theft Auto4’s already impressive world, one that promises to become all the more immersive when the mod eventually arrives, which should be a fun trip back whilegamers wait forGrand Theft Auto 6. However, there is no official release date on the iCEnhancer 4 & RevIVe mod at the time of writing.
Grand Theft Auto 4took place in Liberty City, Rockstar Games' version of New York City, and told the story of Eastern European war veteran Niko Bellic as he attempts to make a new life for himself in America. However, as things become more complicated, he soon finds himself entangled with loan sharks and mob bosses. Recent fan speculation suggests thatRockstar Games has begun to tease Grand Theft Auto 6. Following a recent trailer advertising an update forGTA Online, fans were drawn to the new location showcased. Inputting coordinates into Google Maps brought up a dirt road in the woods in Virginia. It wasn’t until people zoomed out from the pin that things got interesting. By pulling back on the image, fans were surprised to see that the eagle-eyed view of the location revealed a winding road in the shape of the roman numeral for six, VI, which many fans have interpreted as a tongue-in-cheek nod to a future reveal.
