The levels referred to as “dreams” in the game have their own unique setting and challenges that make them all worth playing. But which ones are a breeze to get through? Which ones really leave the player stumped? Here are the hardest levels inHuman: Fall Flat.
Updated June 05, 2025, by Chris Birsner:It has been over six years since the release of Human: Fall Flat. For most games that don’t have a massive competitive multiplayer scene, a lot of players would move on to play the next best thing. But despite the odds, No Brakes Games has continued to pour a lot of love into their game by continuing to add new dreams for players to conquer. The best part is that a lot of these dreams come from inspirations or direct pulls from the community itself as there is a lot of content that has been uploaded to the Steam Workshop with regard to this game. That being said, each new level continues to provide a good amount of difficulty in a game filled with hard levels.
15Power Plant
ThePower Plantdream is basically a more advanced version of the “Carry” level, throwing in additional methods of activating machinery to achieve access to future parts of the level.
Despite the level being among the hardest, everything about this level is pretty straightforward and the tools needed to complete each level are either right there or don’t take much thought. Even the hardest part of the level, driving a dump truck up and down a highway to collect coal, is more tedious than it is challenging.
14Forest
The newest level added intoHuman Fall Flat,Forestis among the “Extra Dreams” that have been added to the game in recent years. The map seems like it’s going to be a wholesome campground until players discover abandoned mines and deadly peaks.
The difficulty in this level comes from the endless hunting down of specific items needed to advance. Another major difficulty point comes when needing to pull a broken airplane, get a minecart through the remains of destroyed rock, and climb along power lines.
13Laboratory
For those who are huge fans of the puzzle genre in video games,Laboratoryis somewhat an homage toPortalwith its aesthetic. Players are dropped into a series of rooms that involve them solving puzzles using the tools that have been afforded to them.
The level focuses on using launch pads to get around and magnets to help attract things, such as a ball that serves as an activation key for most of the rooms. But while the puzzles are the main focus, it is the platforming in some sections that really make this level difficult. Beware of how the fans launch the character.
12Castle
Castlereally ups the difficulty on a platforming front and introduces some new mechanics that show up later in the game. After finding a way out of a few rooms in the castle, the player then gets to play with a catapult, either flinging rocks or a fellow player across a gap.

From there, players must manipulate carriages, a boulder, and other tools in the environment to make their way out of the level. The hardest part of the level is trying to hook a long pole over a gap so it’s possible to get across a body of water.
11Lumber
A fan-favorite that originally was a community-made level,Lumberturned into an Extra Dream in recent years and took neat approaches while still preserving what makesHuman: Fall Flatso much fun. But yes, it is not without some difficult moments.
Surprisingly, the difficulty does not come with controlling a raft. Where it does come is in the many segments that require the human to have to navigate many obstacles while hanging. This includes using monkey bars, holding on tight to a zipline, and flinging the character using a high-speed windmill.
10Dark
One of three post-release regular levels added to the game, all of which had their own level of difficulty,Darkasks the player to chop down a tree, unwind the clock tower and pull a minecart back into a cave just to gain access to the main part of the entire level.
From there, the player will be tasked to find batteries to power an elevator up to the mansion, where they will need to gather electrical supplies to open the exit from underneath a corpse. This level is verypuzzle-heavyfor those who prefer those elements of the game.
9Miniature
Of all the levels on this list,Miniatureserves as one of the newest dreams to be added toHuman: Fall Flat. This level is notable though as it makes the human appear as if they are shrunken down inside a normal-sized shed. This leads to some of the most creative details and puzzles in the game.
Where the difficulty comes in is in navigating some of the tools that are given to the player to solve puzzles. This includes a remote-control truck that needs to be put in a specific position to pull a tennis ball out of a socket. But hands down, the most difficult moment is keeping a match lit long enough to light a candle.
8City
Yes, theCitylevel takes place in a neon metropolis. However, the real name of this level should have been “Sports.” This level is very puzzle-focused, with most of the puzzles focusing on some sort of athletic activity. This includes bowling, archery, and basketball.
This level can be hard for some of the timing needed to complete the puzzles. Beyond that, the final minutes of this level can be brutal asplayerswill need to learn how to properly ride a drone around the city to unlock the exit.
7Red Rock
If puzzles are something that seems appealing,Red Rockmay be the most puzzle-focused level in the entire game. Set in a mesa, players are tasked with navigating areas by solving puzzles with gadgets that are provided to them within the area.
A notable theme for this level is magnets, as almost every puzzle involves some form of attracting objects to a specific location. Some of the hardest puzzles in the game come later, as there will be an entire section dedicated to opening the final door, which involves solving three different puzzles that are unrelated to each other.
6Water
Moving objects by themselves is one thing. Driving objects is another.Waterintroduces the concept of mobile vehicles in the game, specifically boats, andif the player is with friends, it may not be too bad.
But trying to get a sailboat from one shoreline to another is no easy task. How about a massive ship as well? The level also involves using a crane to lift cargo, riding a box down a canal, and using a chairlift to open up a dam on top of a mountain.
