InStardew Valley, players could eat fruits, vegetables, and cooked dishes for this purpose. Haunted Chocolatier Can Let Players Buff Themselves With Sweets

SinceStardew Valleyalready had food buffs, there’s no reason forHaunted Chocolatierto pass on the idea.

In addition torunning a shop inHaunted Chocolatier, players should be able to experiment with several types of ingredients in their recipes. Considering the supernatural nature ofHaunted Chocolatier, some of these ingredients could be mystical or magical in some way. While these would be likely to be among the rarest finds in the game, they could also carry properties that grant buffs to dishes made with said ingredients. From there, players could be tasked with either selling the valuable foodstuffs or keeping them for themselves.

Including the ability to cook dishes that provide buffs also opens the door to make dishes with more spectacular effects, similar to howhavingHaunted Chocolatier’s romance mechanic involve dessertswould make them more useful. In addition to the more mundane stat and skill buffs, some exotic ingredients could provide players with effects thatStardew Valleydidn’t have. For example, a certain spicy chocolate could make the player resistant to fire, or a rare chilled dessert could do the same with cold. SinceHaunted Chocolatieris already featuring magical elements such as ghosts, the buffs and effects offered by food could be more fantastical as well.

By granting the player the chance to make dishes with important buffs inHaunted Chocolatier, the game’s core mechanic will be able to shine brightly. In addition, withHaunted Chocolatierset to emphasize combat, those buffs could become more important than ever. Not only would it make cooking more interesting, but it would make the quest to attain the ingredients for the player’s recipes more rewarding as well by making the end result more exciting to behold.Haunted Chocolatiercould have a lot to gain by letting players bake their own combat buffs in the form of delicious sweets.
