Several of the comments are in response to the expected high price of the upcoming console. A leaked Amazon UK listing showed aPS5 placeholder priceof £599.99. That’s a big jump from the PS4’s launch price of £350 in the UK.

The account @Dexerto asked people what their “dream game announcement” would be. Regardless, there are sure to be tons of exciting new games announced.

Despite the global pandemic, Sony stated that it’s confident thePS5 distribution and pricewon’t be affected. Multiple Twitter users complained about not being able to afford the console, but the trend was toward maintaining excitement and hope, not blaming Sony. The PS5 reveal event wasn’t always set for June 11. At the beginning of June, Sonypostponed the original event datein light of the Black Lives Matter protests. Sony didn’t initially reveal a new event date when it announced the postponement. But now that the new date has been announced, it turns out that the delay was only for a week. That may seem like a long time to potential buyers hungering for news, but for now, the event is going forward and the fans are ready.
