HoYoverse announced that it’s adding a highly requestedHonkai: Star Railfeature. In every update, the video game studio adds features to improve players' overall gameplay experience. In Version 1.2,Honkai: Star Railintroduced a number of game optimizations and features, such as a trial for all five-star characters and quality of life updates.
Honkai: Star Railis currently on the second phase of Version 1.2, which highlighted Kafka as the five-star character and Luka as the new four-star unit. This version will last until September, when Imbibitor Lunae and Fu Xuan will eventually become the banner characters. Version 1.3 may also see the addition of one highly requested feature for thein-game Friends Chat.

In the latest “Voice of the Galaxy” blog post on HoYoLab, HoYoverse announced that it was finally adding chat stickers toHonkai: Star Rail’s Friends Chat on Version 1.3. It added that it will add more stickers to the game in succeeding updates. While HoYoverse hadn’t revealed what the chat stickers would look like, theHonkai: Star Railpreviously uploaded photos of chibi characters that players could use in their messaging apps. These were similar to the chat stickers thatHonkai: Star Railcharacters would send to each other in the game.
The “Voice of the Galaxy” blog also listed down other optimizations that will make the game better, like increasedTrailblaze Powerand allowing players to review previous dialog. ManyHonkai: Star Railplayers expressed their excitement for the upcoming Version 1.3 updates, and said their thanks to HoYoverse for continuing to make the game better. Meanwhile, some players pointed out thatHonkai: Star Railseemed to be getting better feature updates thanGenshin Impact.
As a relatively new game,Honkai: Star Railstill has room for improvement in certain aspects, which HoYoverse planned to address in the future. In the previous “Voice of the Galaxy” blog last May, the developer promised that it wouldfix Seele’s ultimate animationto make it less flashy, but emphasized that it would take time to implement.Honkai: Star Railplayers could expect more quality of life updates to be made to further optimize the game. While players wait for these changes, they can continue pulling for and building Kafka for their team comps, and playing through the Treasure Hunt event.
Honkai: Star Railis available now for Android, iOS, and PC. A PlayStation 5 version launches in Q4 2023.
