Buying Books from a Bookshelf
InThe Sims 4, bookcases come pre-stocked with general books for Sims toenjoy leisure reading. However, if Simmers want to get additional books on any specific subject, they have the option to purchase them. There are two methods to obtain these books: Sims can either buy them directly from owned bookcases or order them online through a computer.
Sims can directly purchase books from a bookshelf by simply clicking on it and selecting the"Purchase Books"option. This allows players to choose books from various genres and add them to their inventory. For instance, toddler books can be found under the"Purchase Toddler Books"category.
However, there have been reports from Xbox and PS4 users about a problem while purchasing books. Despite selecting the right option, players may not get their desired books sometimes. To resolve this issue, they should select the number of books they wish to purchase in the"Purchase Books"option and then press theA buttonon Xbox or theX buttonon PS4.
Having said that, it is pertinent to mention that players cannot buy thebooks written and published by their Sims. However, they can keep a copy of the book before it is published. All they need to do is go to the inventory, select the required book, and place it in the world. Next, click on it and choose the option"Create Copy."
Players will also be able to see the price of the book here. Different books can cost different amounts of Simoleons. If players want to read new books, they do not necessarily need to purchase them; they can simply visit a library and read any book of their favorite genre there.
