Strange Coins are a famed item that Xur often accepted as currency back in 2014’sDestiny, and they acted as a Rare item to be acquired in Dares of Eternity and from Star Horse. However, with the recent rework to Xur’s inventory and vendor reputation, players now need Legendary Strange Coins, and here’s exactly how to get them.
Play Standard Ritual Playlists
In order toget Strange Coins inDestiny 2, players will need to complete activities in the Vanguard Ops, Crucible, and Gambit playlists. Each of these activities, upon completion, will earn players Strange Coins. Theamount of Strange Coins players can acquire varies between 2 to 4, and it seems a successful match in Crucible and Gambit will grant 4, whereas a loss will still grant 2. It’s probably best to jump into Crucible to farm Strange Coins, as each match takes no longer than 10 minutes, whereas Vanguard Ops’ Strikes can take around 20 minutes depending on the Strike itself.
Use Favor Of The Nine
Purchased from Xur as part of his loyalty program, players can acquire a Favor of the Nine, which acts as a Legendary Buff that will grant players a chance of receiving a bonus Strange Coins.
