Just like any otheropen-world survival game, you’re going to need to adapt quickly to the harsh weather inPalworld. Not only will you need to prepare for extremely hot temperatures, but the bitter and intense cold will affect your character and make you lose HP fast, as well.
Luckily, there are some early-game solutions to help you survive the cold and continue on your journey, using only basic materials that are easy to obtain. This guide will show you how you may properly protect yourself from the cold, especially during your first few nights in the new and unfamiliar world.
How to Stay Warm in Palworld
As you begin your adventure throughPalworld, you’ll notice that there are many different buildings and items you can craft. After doing a bit offoraging for wood and stone,you’ll be able to visit theTechnology sectionunder the main menu. Here, you can unlock new recipes, with a few that have the use of keeping you warm:
As you first start, you’ll most likely only have access to creating aCampfire or Hand-Held Torch.These will keep you warm throughout the cold nights, although you’ll have to stay near the fire when using a Campfire. TheHand-Held Torch and Cloth Outfitwill allow you to move around at night. Campfires will also keep you warm at your base while yousleep in your bed at night. Eventually, you’ll be exposed to freezing temperatures, which is where theTundra Outfitwill be needed.
Keep in mind that you’ll need tomanually unlock the Campfire recipe,which you can unlock in the Technology section if you have an availableSkill Point.
Where to Find Materials in Palworld
To create these four items to keep yourself warm, you’ll need togather a fair bit of materials.In this section, we will show you where you can pick up all the required materials for each recipe to survive the cold nights.
10x Wood
2x Wood
Trees and foraging.
2x Stone
Found throughforaging Stone pieceson the ground, andhitting large rockswith your hands/weapon.
Cloth Outfit
2x Cloth
Can be crafted fromWool, an item dropped by Lamballs.you may either defeat orcatch a Lamball, and they’ll provide you with Wool. You can then unlock theClothcrafting recipe from the Technology section in the main menu.
3x Cloth
Can be crafted fromWool.
2x Ice Organ
Dropped by Ice-type Pals, includingPengullets.you’re able to either catch them or defeat them, and they’re usually located near water.
