JOJOLandsis the latest installment in theJoJo’s Bizarre Adventurefranchise. LikeJoJolion, the new part is also released on a monthly basis, and it is set in an alternate universe.JOJOLandsfeatures a completely different cast of characters, and as always, the focus is on the main protagonist.
Before the release of the manga, it had been stated that the main protagonist wouldbe related to Joseph Joestar. So, the expectations were high. Jodio Joestar debuted in the very first chapter of the story, and he made quite an impact. It was revealed that Jodio was going to become a wealthy man by the end of the story, but his path ahead is going to be filled with various obstacles, and this is when his mental and physical fortitude will come in handy.

Jodio Joestar
Jodio is currently 15 years old, but he is smarter than most kids his age. He has a smart head on his shoulders, and he takes extreme precautions to complete his tasks. According to the Joestar family tree, Jodio Joestar is the grandson of Joseph Joestar and Suzy Q. He is the son of Barbara Ann Joestar and an unnamed man. His parents moved to Honolulu when he was still very young. Not long afterward, his parents divorced. Jodio’s mind was impacted by the separation of his parents, and it made him a recluse. When he was still a kid, Jodio was recruited by a gang that saw potential in him.
Jodio remained in this line of work even after he grew up. In fact, he started working with his older sibling, Dragona Joestar. Over the years, the two have gained a great deal of experience, enabling them to carry out more risky jobs. Due to his antisocial personality disorder, Jodio tends to stay away from other people. He only cares about his family members and is willing to go to any lengths to protect them from harm. Jodio’s mental condition does not allow him to feel remorse, a traitfound in Johnny Joestarand Josuke Higashikata from Parts 7 and 8, respectively. This means Jodio is able to kill any person who tries to obstruct his path. He also seems to be an avid manga reader, and he is fond of Kishibe Rohan’s work.
His Stand
Jodio’s Stand is called November Rain, and it is a close-range Stand. It is named after a hit song by the American rock band Guns N' Roses. So far, the Stand has only displayed the ability to start rain showers with heavy raindrops, which can crush the target’s body with ease. The name of the Stand perfectly aligns with its powers. Jodio can use the ability freely, but it seems thatthe Stand’s effects don’t lastforever, as many of his enemies regained their regular shape after being crushed by the rain.

Jodio can also narrow down the range, which enables him to target small things in a large area. He used November Rain to destroy the evidence that was in the possession of the DEA officer. He also used it to trick Kishibe Rohan into thinking that it was raining. The other abilities of the Stand remain unknown, but they will be revealed in due course. Araki will have to dig deep into his creative bag to ensure that Jodio’s Stand is more powerful than Josuke’s.
His Goal
Jodio is a materialistic individual who cares about wealth, so it’s not surprising to see him get involved with criminals. As previously stated, by the end of the story, Jodio becomes an extremely wealthy man. Jodio will have to fight many strong opponents to fulfill his desire to become rich. At the moment, he is still doing small jobs that don’t pay a lot, so the risk isn’t much. As the story progresses, it is imperative that he take on tougher jobs or leave the gang to carve his own path. If he continues to operate within the gang, he has an opportunity to rise to the very top and eventually take control of it. It will be interesting to see Jodio’s decision.
His first big task in the story was to steal the diamond from Rohan’s mansion. Jodio and his crew managed to infiltrate the mansion rather effortlessly, but things went awry when a cat attacked them. Jodio managed to buy his accomplicessome time by distracting Rohanwith his Stand. However, it was never going to be easy to keep Rohan preoccupied for long. The manga artist has a great deal of fighting expertise, but Jodio’s group was unaware of it. Kishibe Rohan demonstrated his powerinDiamond is Unbreakable, where he got the better of his opponents by combing his Stand with his wit.
If things continue to escalate, then Jodio will have to face Rohan, and if he manages to defeat the latter, it will be a big testament to his skills. For now, there are still many things about Jodio that remain a mystery, but one thing is for sure: he definitely has the potential to become one of the best JoJos in the series.
