Practically since the launch ofApex Legends, dataminers have been available to find information on upcoming LTMs, characters, and more. LTMs, especially, it seems as these almost always leak beforehand, but characters like Octane, Wattson,Revenant, Loba, and more were in the working conscious of fans before their release too. Of course, fans should always treat this information with a grain of salt, as Forge was evident enough of how these could be used to troll fans, while also many characters could be significantly changed or leaked.
Nonetheless, with several characters who have leaked over the past few years, it’s worth wondering who will come toApex Legendsseason 9. Not much is known yet, although Respawn states that it’ll feature aton ofTitanfallcontent. That’s exciting enough, and with that in mind, there’s a handful of characters who could fit in because of that or because of the current meta.

Titanfall’s Blisk
Obviously, when thinking ofTitanfallcontent, it’s hard not to think of one character.Blisk is already part of theApex Legendsuniverse, and seeing him drop in the games during aTitanfallinspired season seems like an opportunity that shouldn’t be passed up. It remains to be seen, of course, but based on this limited information, he does seem the most likely. After all, while he has been brought up inApex Legendsleaks before, the most recent came with even more details.
According to a rather convincing leak, one that seemingly came from a Switch test build, Blisk’s abilities include a Passive that lets him hack survey beacons and wall run, a Tactical that creates a damaging zone by manipulating the ring, and an ultimate which summons an “Auto-Titan” to temporarily deal damage. This does sound like a bit much and maybe a bit overpowered, but it’s worth mentioning that the Auto-Titan is temporary, likely destructible, and time-limited. The wall-running is the big one that stands out, as theApex Legendsdev has said wall-running and Titanswould never come to the game (even reiterating that last point recently, at least in the current roadmap.) What’s not said, though, is Auto-Titans not coming to the game.
These offensive abilities are odd, as Survey Beacons would suggest he’s recon, but the sheer nature of his abilities also sound like Assault. It would probably depend on the full use of the Auto-titan, the damage it does, and the exact ring, but it’s hard to ignoreBlisk being a real contender forApex Legendsseason 9.
Apex Legends' Immortal
Titanfallcontent may suggest some high tech changes, and as such, Immortal may be a good choice. The image associated with the character has a very Pilot-like costumer, and they would really fit in with the theme. As it stands, this character sounds a bit OP, but with the proper changes, they would make a great Shield-focused Support-character. There’s been rumblings that, due to the nature of the class, Immortal has been scrapped. But as with anything with theseApex Legendsdatamines, that should be taken with a grain of salt.

Apex Legendsseems reluctant to add a characters similar to Lifeline, but it’ll have to happen eventually. It’ll be interesting to see a character with a similar skill set, but focused elsewhere, go against Lifeline or side with Lifeline. Obviously, that would require some balance changes, as leaked abilities for Immortal include a tactical cloud of nanites that heal ally shields or damage them, while having abilities revolving around sharing self-revives. Again, that sounds OP and it wouldn’t really be surprising to see this character scrapped. However, dialing them back is just as viable of an option.
Apex Legends' Prophet
While not related toTitanfall,Prophet would make for an interesting addition. Prophet’s kit sets them up as a weapon specialist like Rampart, but with Sniper Rifles. Their passive improves ADS accuracy and a scope at the start of the game, a tactical scan similar to Bloodhound orCrypto, and an ultimate sniper rifle with three silenced shots. What makes Prophet interesting is the sheer lethality of the class, as silenced weapons don’t have a place inApex Legends.
While it’s unlikely to be as powerful as theKraber sniper rifle, being pinged from long ranged with no way to track the character would really change up the sheer chaos of fights. One team vs. another would be one thing, but in the later fights when 3-4 teams descend upon one another, Prophet would be one character more than capable of hanging back, knocking enemies, and remaining safe. Combined with whatever else happens in season 9, and it sounds like a lot of chaos added to the battle royale factor.
Overall, while there’s no real telling, Blisk seems like the most likely candidate. If there’s one thing to be learned from all ofApex Legends' leaked characters(from figures like Shrugtal), though, especially in conjunction with the idea that several are unknown, the future for the BR game is looking bright.
Apex Legendsis available now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
