Anticipation forMarvel’s Avengersis heating up and as fans search for more clues about the gameplay, the director of the title has shared how much game time players can expect from the title. Director Richard Briggs claimed that “I think it’ll depend on exactly how deep you want to go into it, […]So if you think about previous Crystal games, you know that if you want to be playing your way through the core story, it’s going to be in that area, 10 to 12 hours.” Briggs went onto detail the game-length outside of the core campaign.
Marvel’s Avengersattracted a lot of attention when it was announced. Not only because of its impressive cinematic trailer but also because it is part of Marvel’s media empire. Following one of the most successful film franchises and comic book series is a tall order, yet Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have plenty of experience with big titles. TheTomb Raiderseries is probably the most notable in recent years and Briggs used those games to frame the game-length ofMarvel’s Avengers.

Briggs explained that if players want to experience everything through side missions and “everything else” then there is usually 30 hours of gameplay in theirTomb Raidergames and he expectsMarvel’s Avengersto clock in at a similar playtime. There will, of course, be a steady stream of content to add to this initial playtime so players can still find something new after its initial release. It has been claimed thatMarvel’s Avengersis Crystal Dynamics biggest game everand this will likely be because of the additional content after launch.
With Ms Marvel’s recent gameplay revealit’s evident that the team behind the game have plenty of ideas for interesting characters and gameplay mechanics. In terms of characters, they are pulling from most of the beloved ensemble casts in the world. The likes of Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are all set as playable characters and with DLC content sure to build on the already impressive roster.
