It makes sense that a deck-battling game likeMarvel’s Midnight Sunsis going to heavily feature cards; cards with different moves, styles, features, and purposes. Naturally, players will develop a favorite way to win the game in a system that is challenging yet flexible enough to allow each individual to have success with whatever characters they’d like.

While the cards themselves are a matter of opinion, nobody will argue that upgrading them is not important. Good luck experiencing any kind of victory inMarvel’s Midnight Sunswith the base, unimproved cards. On the toughest difficulties, gamers will want to have every card they use upgraded.
Upgrading Cards
There are three different kind of essence: attack, heroic, and skill. Depending on the card type, players will need an amount of one of these in order to upgrade a card. Unwanted cards can be deconstructed for essence and some can be founnd in the abbey.

Earning cardsis a big part of the game. Getting a Gamma Coil means being able to select another card. Although players might shy away from getting too many of their favorite cards, it’s wise to get a duplicate card for every one in the deck so these favored cards can be upgraded.
The Yard is the combat training area. The sword to upgrade cards is located immediately outside of the doors that lead into the abbey. Initially,unlocking Bladewill have him standing next to the sword.
After selecting a card and upgrading it, be sure toedit the hero’s deckto include the new card. If there are only eight cards the hero has available, it will be automatically equipped, but later in the game, players will need to manually put cards into the deck if the upgraded card was not already in use.
